I have also brought a bunch of regional beer from MD/DC/PA to share, including DC Brau On The Wings of Armageddon, Union Double Duckpin, and Troegs Nimble Giant. All very high rated Double IPAs and I've also brought some more novelty driven stuff like DuClaw Sweet Baby Jesus, Flying Dog Dead Rise (made with Old Bay seasoning) and Union Old Pro Gose (won silver at GABF for gose and honestly better than Westbrook Gose). Would love to share some beers and meet some folks...haven't posted on here too much in recent times, but wanted to reach out.

I won't be at Alpine, but depending on where your travels are taking you Central Waters and New Glarus are a couple Wisconsin breweries I'd encourage you to check out. Congrats on the wedding!

W12 and 2013 BCBBW tonight. Both amazing, but should have had the BCBBW first...not fair to pour after well aged W12

Enjoy by 7.4.16 was fucking delicious camped out on an island yesterday. Followed up by a few too many All Day IPAs made for a nice Fourth.

Beer trading has gotten so dumb. Winning trades and trying to screw everyone over, or using absolutely absurd secondary market prices is asinine. I cant wait for the bubble to pop, so some guy hoarding Fundamental Observation sits there with 20 bottles in his basement and doesnt get anything for em.

Amen brother. It's rare to find trading partners that just like sharing good locals for locals. Partners like that are a rare breed. I'm happy to have a few of them. But I also have resigned myself to never getting certain things. I tried with De Garde but I'm not willing to trade Dark Lord variants for an imperial BU. It's out of control.

Gave my buddy a Heady Topper for 4th of July that I stored away. He acted like it was Christmas morning.

Define "stored away" because you might hate the guy if you gave him old Heady

Heady is still one of my favorites of all time. And I agree it still has wow factor with people who aren't as experienced with beer. I remember that I got into an hour long conversation about beer with a stranger at a brewery and eventually it came up that he has never had Heady. I happened to have some in my car from a recent trade and I went out and got him a can. He was like a kid at Christmas. It's so much fun to just share beers without trade raping someone. And the karma still gets back to you. Maybe not like it used to. But it does. Beer is about sharing. Hoarding and ransoming beer is NOT what craft beer is about.

So you're saying I'm not likely to get a FVM or Marshmellow Hanjee thing for a 4pack of heady. Darn. hehehehehe lol

Made my first trip to the new Alchemist brewery yesterday. 8 cans each of Focal, Heady, and Crusher. Also scored a case of Sip of Sunshine and an extra 12 cans of Crusher from some guys who weren't interested in it. That's what this beer game should be about. And I'm going back up next week on my way to Spac.

Gotta get those NE hops out to you and my FL. trading partner.

This is the most important sentiment you can have about beer, ever. I remember being given a sixer of Zombie Dust and I have two of them to a friend of mine as a surprise and his eyes lit up. Sharing is caring and it's what I love about the craft beer community.

Vallejo is great. Lets be honest everything Half Acre makes is great. Only bad beer I have had from them is Gin Barrel Aged Pony Pils, and I hate gin so...

bought them back in May for the long holiday weekend and they've been in my crisper in the fridge ever since. Only had a few left, my buddy loves beer and never had a Heady. Handed it to him on the beach, he stuttered for a little bit and just got all giddy. Took a pic of it with him and the can by his wife.

you might be able to offer 2 cases of Tree House/Trillium and get some nibbles for those DL variants though. I've heard some crazy secondary market shit on those cans.

Sounds like a great trip!! I forgot to ask you about the new Alchemist glasses they have at the brewery. Looking forward to it all! I'm still waiting on beers here to ship out....and I think I need to order a new shipper since the old one is pretty beat up.

I took 4 cans of All Day to the beach last weekend in Grand Rapids. They were gone in about an hour and a half.....moral of the story is, go get another 15 pack.

When I got into craft beer 10-12 years ago this was the overriding theme in craft beer.....now it's a rarity. It's a fucking shame. But overall I'm pleased and thankful to have some reliable people who think/feel the same way I do about beer.

Can any of you beer snobs recommend any good local stuff to pick up that I could find at a store in saratoga next week?

I like floral and fruity IPAs, Wheats, belgain style ales... really anything except stouts and porters

Also any good beer distributor recommendations would be appreciated.

yeah I may go back and get more, or grab something else on the way up. Car space is at a premium right now, we are going to a cabin in the middle of nowhere so theres a lot to bring, I may just drive out one day and reload.

They had a small odd shaped taster like one and then one that is like a teku. Did you want me to grab you one.
