I like Chris Pine. I haven't read a lot of books with Steve Trevor, but from what I've read in the New 52 Justice League he fits that role pretty well. So I was hoping for that. But he could make a good lantern. Tyrese? I hope that's just a rumor. Too bad the dude that plays Diggle in Arrow is already in a DC property. He would be awesome as John Stewart.

I also enjoyed the GL movie. I didn't think it was as bad as everyone says. Since reading GL the past couple years he's become probably my favorite next to Batman.

Great movies. The Town is fantastic. Have you seen Gone Girl? Stars Affleck and he directed. Also a fantastic movie.

Returns is just ok to me. Just too messy a movie for me to really love. My favorites of the original Batman movies are Batman and...Batman Forever. Yep. I love the third.

This one has some more pictures

I really love the angle they are using for Batman. We have seen the beginnings of Batman and the time after that. However, we have not see the strain on being Batman for so long. Really looking forward to this take.

Ben Affleck described his Batman as being “on the verge of being swallowed up by the anger and the rage that we see haunt this character in the other manifestations of it. But this guy is further down the line and has become more embittered and cynical.”

Sounds like a pretty cool perception of Batman. Looking forward to seeing what he does. However, that front cover image of Affleck in the batsuit in the link is a little hard for me to take him serious. Affleck is a good actor and director but sometimes I have a hard time him serious. That image is one of the times.

And also regarding that cover, Wonder Woman's legs...bruh!

At least he doesn't look sad, like the first image we saw of him in the suit.

And yes, those legs, oh my.

I am also looking forward to the take on Superman, it appears that they are using a little bit of the story line from Red Son, for this movie as well.

"So why are Batman and Superman fighting? Entertainment Weekly says that Batman is worried that Superman’s unequaled power makes him more of a potential fascistic overlord than the hero we need, he makes it his duty to take him out of the sky for good."

Lex still remains a mystery, but I like that.

It seems like they're altering canon.

If this is an "older/seasoned" Batman, shouldn't Lex be much older than Eisenberg's Lex?

I don't think that would be correct, Batman has existed in his world for that long, however Lex seems to have emerged about the same time as Superman does in Man of Steel. Cavill and Eisenberg as the same age as well. There is a reason they did that for this movie.

I'm thinking of later series, as far as timeline goes (which in comics doesn't amount to much anyway).

I'm thinking the 03-11 Superman/Batman arc. In that, for example, Luthor was President and was much older.

There's other arcs that Batman meets Luthor like No Man's Land, but as far as continuity goes, in these stories, Lex is older and neither Superman or Batman are relatively new.

Which is why it makes me wonder if they're avoiding or altering canon to have an older/seasoned Batman and a younger Luthor.

Got it, in that case, then yes, they are altering canon here.

Those pics of Wonder Woman and Diana are awesome.

If that's the biggest canon alteration we'll be fine.

Burton had Batman kill and Joker kill his parents.

Nolan had non-permawhite Joker and non-venom Bane.

Young Lex I can live with.

So excited for this movie! I really hope Affleck nails this role, because I'm totally on board with him, and I don't want to be proved wrong HAHA. I'm getting the feeling they're really pulling from all sorts of source material, old and new, which should make for a really interesting take. I'm just so excited to finally see the DCU get their movies rolling. Been waiting for this for a very long time.

Also, I too am on board with Gal Gadots incredible legs.

I wonder if those with the painted faces in this image could be the Mutants from the Dark Knight Returns, see this image.

But perhaps a different take on them.

I don't think they are, the painted faces reminds me of the Day of the Dead celebration which is done in Latin American countries. I think it's connected in this movie to the mass killings caused in the Metropolis battle. But, I could be wrong.

Chad I think the folks in that still are Mexicans celebrating the day of the dead.

    Could be wrong though.

The non painted faces in that still do look like they're of hispanic descent, so my guess is with everyone else, Day of the Dead.

In an extended online interview with Entertainment Weekly, Ben Affleck talks about how Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will focus on the Man of Steel ending, and even reveals the real reason why Batman may have a problem with Superman.

“One of the things I liked was Zack’s idea of showing accountability and the consequences of violence and seeing that there are real people in those buildings,” says Affleck. “And in fact, one of those buildings was Bruce Wayne’s building so he knew people who died in that Black Zero event.”

I sure hope so, but usually whatever is released there stays there. The trailer that was shown there last year was never really released to the public.

Maybe they'll get a look at it and then it'll be released officially within the month following. Although, with the leak of the teaser this past spring, maybe Snyder will released it contemporaneously just so it can be seen "the way it was meant to be seen", which were his words (I think) after the leak.

What I'm really hoping for is some Suicide Squad footage. I know they had to go back and re-shoot a little bit this past week, but they've filmed enough and had enough time in between to at least have enough for a teaser by now.

What I'm really hoping for is some Suicide Squad footage. I know they had to go back and re-shoot a little bit this past week, but they've filmed enough and had enough time in between to at least have enough for a teaser by now.
I sure do hope that Snyder does something like that this time around.

Yeah, I would definitely think that something for the Suicide Squad will be released. They would have plenty to show, they have been shooting since April, if I remember correctly.

I wonder if Snyder had this whole story planned out, or if he is dealing with the outcry of all the people upset about the destruction of Metropolis. I for one didn't think twice about it when I saw it in the theater. It's a superhero movie that ended with two of the most powerful beings on the planet brawling in the city. Not the first movie to have mass destruction take place in an epic battle between good and evil. For some reason it was made into a huge deal with this movie. I just have to wonder if he planned to destroy half the city and deal with the fallout in the sequel, or he just thought it was entertaining and looked really cool.
