amen! Great news it's not a SDCC release!

Got ahold of the Final Fantasy VII double picture disc soundtrack.

They only released it to Europe so a friend of mine in the UK ordered it and shipped it over to me.

Pretty exciting, one of my favorite soundtracks of all time (movies or games)

I picked up a copy of the new Of Monsters and Men album, clear heavy vinyl. Sounds great...it doesn't appear to come with a download code though which is a real bummer. I thought just about every new lp did.

Every now and then I'll get an LP without a download code but it's very rare

A lot of times you can email customer service for the record label and they'll send you a download code/link for free

Yeah I thought I heard Doby mention that before but wasn't sure it was this release, thanks for the confirmation.

I can vouch for the awfulness of the RATM XX. Sounds TERRIBLE. Seek out the Music on Vinyl pressing of that one.

You can still get the MOVLP043 of Rage Against the Machine for under $40 on Amazon, if you love this album and want the best sounding version without paying for the original US pressing then snag one, they continue to go up in price and less and less stock available:

Finally got my vinyl copy of Morten Harket-Brother in from the Netherlands. What a beautiful pressing. Worth every penny and the wait. A prime example of mastered for vinyl, makes the CD sound silly.

Nice, I just picked up the new 180g releases of Hunting High and Low and Scoundrel Days, haven't cranked Scoundrel yet but HHAL sounds bloody fantastic, comparing to both an original CD and vinyl pressing. I need to check out Brother, heard nothing but great things.

Reckless Records is by far my favorite place in Chicago. They actually have 3 locations - the one on Broadway is the one I frequent. Hell, you could make a whole day out of just going to all 3 of their stores and digging. I never walk out of Reckless without a bag full of used vinyl.

If you go to Reckless on Broadway, you may as well hit up Dave's Records as well. It's right down the street.

That's a very cool neighborhood in general, lots of cool shops, restaurants, and bars. Miss living down there.

Made that mistake too. It's awful. The redux version sounds slightly better on vinyl but it still sounds like crap. Hopefully they get it right before they put out anymore album reissues. They've done great with their "bootleg" series vinyl.

I got the Bob Marley - Legend 30th Anniversary release today and I highly recommend. The album sounds fantastic. I also bought the Mumford and Sons Road to Red Rocks from an Amazon Warehouse Deal, unfortunately the LP was not in the package so I had to return it.

Man, it only takes five minutes in any other thread around here to realize this one is the best. Bitching about Let You Down being played tonight? Get the hell out of here.

Anyway, gonna hit up the local store tomorrow, I think. I hope they got some new, good used stuff in!
