Received the Ryan Adams Live at Carnegie Hall vinyl box set today. It sounds awesome. Little bit of an echo, but it basically sounds like you're in the venue, so it's just the natural sound. Whisper quiet. Awesome box set.

    Going to see him this Saturday at NO Jazzfest. After seeing him in December for the first time, I'm a little worried about his show translating to a festival atmosphere. So many parts of that show did get whisper quiet, impressive in this era of people that go to concerts to talk during the music, but I don't think we'll be so lucky at JF.

    i saw him last summer at a festival. i agree that he probably puts on a better show when indoors and not for a festival, but he was great. and his humor was well received by the crowd
