Yeah I think this is gonna be more of a 'reboot', but even so, just let it lie. The original is amazing, sequel had some good moments. I'd absolutely go see a sequel with the original 4 guys, but I have no interest in seeing some 'Ghostbusters 2013' with a bunch of new people.

god shit like this just makes me wanna cray. Dan, Harold.... GIVE UP ALREADY!! And this is coming from as big a GB fan as you're ever possibly gonna meet, of one AND two (beat that! ) The ONLY way I forsee Bill involved, for some reason agreeing to have a very small roll and 'pass the torch' to the new, young GB team, with 3-4 whole new actors, and that is suuuuuuuuuch a bad idea, it really does smack of lameness. Please don't do it. I sincerely can't imagine any scenario under which Bill would agree on the film and play a sigificant lead role to where he had before. I actually STILL think it'd be a real bad idea, but they get him saying he's a definite go for 3 in some main, strong supporting part (if not full lead), yea okay then maybe we'll talk. But I aint holding my breath.

You are not alone. I just spent Halloween night watching both movies...and yes, I'm 32 years old. I could recite both movies back to back. When I got Ghostbusters 2 on video (my uncle taped it for us on HBO hahaha) I watched it 3 consecutive times that day. That being said...LET IT GO!

Why? WHY do they think we need another Ghostbusters movie?!?!?!? Had they done it back in 1992 then OK but the moment has passed. In fact the moment has passed by almost 25 years! I'm so sick of every movie that was made 20-30 years ago receiving a sequel or a reboot. Time for Hollywood to start coming up with some original ideas and move forward. Thank god for directors like Christopher Nolan.

I love both Ghostbusters movies. There's just no way any new movie could come close to topping or matching the hilarity of the first. How do I know this? Because look at Ghostbusters 2. I absolutely enjoy 2 but it's not anywhere near as funny as 1. Just leave Ghostbusters alone and let it remain in movie history the way it has.

the best part is, when they watch it again in college or as adults, they'll appreciate the jokes they didnt get as kids, and they'll thank you for having them watch it.

so many movies i didnt want to see that i thanked my dad for later

When I was a kid I certainly didn't understand the scene where Ray is dreaming about the ghost floating above his bed. When I was older and saw his pants unzip it made a LOT more sense.

They just don't make movies like Ghostbusters, Gremlins or Goonies these days. So lucky to have been around for those movies. Unfortunately I'm around to see them remaking all of them or making ridiculous sequels to movies from 30 years ago.

I like all those guys - Hill, Rogen, Cera, McBride, Robinson, Franco etc. etc. But they are the new Murray, Ramis, Chase, Candy, Ackroyd, Murphy etc. etc. They should be coming up with their own "Ghostbusters" and "Caddyshack" type movies themselves. Not rebooting the classics. Start making your own classic movies. They definitely have their share of great movies like Pineapple Express and This Is the End so why the need to dive into old territory? With all these reboots and stupid sequels this generation won't have classics like we did.

Anchroman and Clerks rank high on that list for me of movies from my generation that I'll want my kids to watch.

200 Cigarettes is another movie I love - if you haven't seen it, you must, it's great! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dcIKPSm7hY

Clerks is on the boundary for me, generation-wise, just cuz I was 11 when it came out, but its something I'd have my kids watch when the get older. Lebowski, JP1, Superbad, Old School...there are a lot more, but I feel like my dads movies are better than mine

I think Office Space will hold up pretty well. It's like the Revenge of the Nerds of our generation.
