My favorite acts right now. Bayside moved in to my #1 spot, pushing Taking Back Sunday to #2. The Bayside show (my 11th one) i saw last week was easily their best show/set yet. I love Yellowcard also going to see them in a few weeks, new album is a little bland. And I still love anything Andrew McMahon does.
To the bolded. Yes - 100000x over.

To the underlined. Yes - I have been pretty meh on it after 3 or 4 listens. I was daring to take the departure from what made them get to where they are, but i feel like it was a little uninspired. Trying too hard to be power-pop radio friendly.

Southern Air and Ocean Avenue are their two best albums IMO, and it's funny to say that because they are a whole 9 years apart.

So true Ocean Ave is timeless and that 10th anniversary tour they did was a ton of fun.

Southern Air also great. Awakening, I must have listened to it 50 times the first time I heard it.

Illuminate is a fuckin great song! One of the high points on the album for me.

Here is how it's sitting for me.

Convocation->Transmission Home is a killer album opener imo.

Crash The Gates, Make Me So, & One Bedroom are enjoyable but they didn't grab a hold of me like Transmission Home did.

Fragile and Dear is kind of eh.

    Illuminate - see above.

Madrid is just a head scratcher to me.

The Deepest Well is a great tune, would love to see it live.

Lift a Sail is ok. This statement is a double meaning for the whole effort, really.

MSK - Ryan pulls off a nice atmosphere at the beginning with awesome violin fills by sean. It just needs to go somewhere, and some of the lyrics feel pretty bleh. We get it, you would dig a hole all the way to China, unless of course you was there, and you'd dig your way home.

My Mountain - That's cool man, glad you needed her last song, and now you've got her. End it already or have more to say.

Seems like it could have been a much cooler 1-2 punch song combo if it had better lyrics in both and better song structure to MSK.

California - I'm a sap for a good California song. I love this as a closer, Ryan with superb vocal delivery. #Angst

Lift a Sail could have been something special and a coming out party for Yellowcard to hit the radio-waves again and make some noise, but unfortunately it just misses the mark. Run of the mill Yellowcard with less punk and more Angels and Airwaves atmosphere.

They aren't. But most of the bands in this thread aren't. Should be called the punk rock, pop punk, emo, scremo thread. And the new New Found Glory is really good. Too bad they are a bunch of pricks in person

Yea my buddy who is a huge YC fan said it sounds more one republic then yellowcard. But you're right twice now when a new song came up on random I thought it was an Angeles and Airwaves song. But at least I know they will still tear up the house of blues next month.

They killed it at Warped tour this summer. Of course they weren't playing any new stuff, it was all Southern Air, Ocean Avenue, & Paper Walls songs, but it was still a great show.

Ryan can still do it just as well as he did 10 years ago.

Yes!! Ryan's Star Wars tattoo sleeve is also super cool. Wish they were coming near me so i could go see them on this tour. They are touring with Mayday Parade which was a fun little set at Warped. They are more of a girl group, but they have some fun tunes.

Ghosts, Jamie all over, Walk on Water or Drown, & Oh well, Oh well are all great songs.

Mayday Parade is always a fun show, they have that summer feel to them so it's always nice to see them at warped. A Lesson in Romantics is my favorite album from them.

I'll say it again though, Yellowcard was easily the best band I saw at Warped 2012. Of mice and men and bayside are tied for second. Both put on a great show

12 songs, 8 new ones on this current Yellowcard tour. Feeling less and less excited about it now. I could care less about the other bands on the bill to.
