The amount of tension on this show every single week is pretty crazy. Great season. Might even eclipse season one for me. Didn't think that would happen.

It was an episode full of tension, especially early on but it did kind of fizzle out towards the end and there was no real cliffhanger. Still a great season for a great show.

Finally finished this last night. Fucking great season. Elizabeth and Phillip's manipulation of Don Seong was just brutal to watch. I legitimately felt so bad for the guy. This show is seriously the best written on TV, and is so good at creating drama. I was so mad when it was over

The last season was fantastic. The writing and directing of getting Martha sent to Russia was just so good. They made it feel so realistic.

“The Americans” will move to Tuesday nights for its fifth season, airing on March 7 at 10pm. A critical favorite since its premiere in 2013, “The Americans” was finally recognized with major Emmy nominations last summer, including best drama and acting nods for its lead actors, Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys. The series has also been named an AFI TV Program of the Year for each of its first four seasons.

I am going to get ripped for saying this... but if Seasons 5 and 6 are as good as Season 4, then I might be putting this show above The Wire as what I would consider as the best series of all-time. |
