Re: West Wing

I think Matheson did a wonderful job as VP. Especially watching his character not only manipulate the DC politics... but manipulate the inter-office politics too.

Toby - DCOS? (i dont think thats a demotion)

    Should be interesting.
I think we'll see Toby as Leo's Chief of Staff. Will Bailey as Comm Director. Donna will be back of course, possibly as Deputy Comm Director, which would be a huge jump from what she was doing 2 years ago, but would make for a nice character arc. CJ will be involved some how, perhaps as deputy chief of staff. The West Wing (the show) could not afford to completely revamp their cast, but shifting the focus to the younger cast members is a good idea. Charlie could be a part as well. It's not that unbelievable to imagine the majority of cast returning, considering the vast amount of workers at the white house in general. A little overlap from the previous administration wouldn't be out of the question.

Charlie has a sharp enough delivery to do press secretary. I see hime there. it seems like will has gone through a spiteful meltdown during the nomination process, I don't know if he'll continue. Although they needed to pit him against Josh, there would have been no suspense for the race. Maybe he'll come around and fall into to Toby's old job well.

No way Alda is going to win, who do you know off his staff besides Mrs. Tanner?

I don't have a least favorite season, and even if I did it would still be better that 99.9% of crap on TV. Probably why I'm watching reruns of it.

Agreed...though I did enjoy the storyline at the end of Season 5 and the car bomb explosion.

Looks like Rob Lowe will be returning as Sam Seaborn for a 5 episode story arc in November. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

I just have to say that I am so glad that I'm not the only one addicted to the West Wing...my husband is starting to worry about me, I think.

I was thinking today about whether they're planning on having Alda win the election, but I just don't know. It would be nice to see the opposite point-of-view, but I like seeing the dems in office.

I blame Bravo for taking away my Monday evenings. I end up turning the tv on monday evening and get sucked into the Bravo West Wing Monday Marathon....

Oooh, yea, way to be alert there, Derek. Thanks.

I just downright worship WEST WING, even though it clearly declined to a certain degree upon Sorkin's departure. I didn't start watching until the 3rd season but have since caught up on all of them via Bravo (& now seen each of them all like 3x at least! ). But I still would really kill for the DVDs, not just the pristine quality but I'm dying to see all the documentary, etc material.

The commentaries are great. Especially in season 2 and later when the actors started getting in on the action.

So apparently the producers of the West Wing are in negotiations with NBC to make the Vinick/Santos debate be LIVE during the November sweeps...how cool will this be?
