Didn't know you needed FB. So how did the ad machine Fuckbook work, similarly?

(I assume that was a real thing)

Re: Dating is miserable

I have gotten three waitresses numbers in the last two weeks. All of them seem to have a boyfriend or are seeing someone. I don't get it. Why give me your number if you are seeing someone?

Because you're Troy and everyone wants a piece of that.

It's true. But when it comes time to spend some time together they get cold feet and bail at the last minute. Like come on...

Yea if a girl I started talking to told me to get rid of the beard I will get rid of her first. Different story if it's someone I love and am with.

You just disappoint everyone you meet. To be fair, all you would have had to do is show her a picture of you without facial hair, causing her to see your actual face, and she would have understood the need for the beard.

My current dating sitch is fun. Went out with a guy a few times, thought he was into me ()....made some "pencil-in" plans for this past Monday.

I text him Monday with "So, are we still on for tonight?" and that got me some excuse about how he was busy at work and spent the whole weekend drinking, so he wanted to lay low, and asked if he could have a raincheck. When I texted him on Tuesday with something about the raincheck being cashed on Friday....nothing. Haven't heard from him.

Really, guys? Get your shit together. If you're not into me, that's fine, but I feel like after you've gone out with someone a few times, they deserve to at least hear SOME excuse.

2. What is the rule if a girl contacts you and here is the situation: my profile indicates I am looking for a girlfriend (not that in reality I would not be happy with a long term relationship too), she has 5 kids and three live with her, and says if you aren't into kids pls move on.....So, I'm probably not into the kid thing to be honest but she contacted me is it OK to hit her back?
1. Yes. Absolutely. You are still on the market and still expected to use said dating site until you both agree that you are exclusive.
2. You can hit her back if you want to. If you're sincerely not interested and you hit her back, you just say something like "hi, thanks for the message, but I'm really not looking to get involved with someone who has kids. Good luck!" or something.
...or you could just ignore it and say nothing.

Men are so easy.

Which is why it's fucking annoying that they suck so much. If guys could figure out how to be easy and not be turd burglars, it'd be awesome.

I would agree. but each time I've gotten free drinks prior to asking. It's what prompted me to ask. If they were just after the money I'd expect they wouldn't give me free stuff.

Pretty sure the Internet/texting will be the end to a civilized society. Read an article about Ashley Madison today and the owner said the site brings in $40MM per month. That's outrageous.

Yeah, that is true, it does happen to both genders, so it's not just a guys-do-it-to-gals thing.

I feel, though, like there should be a rule that everyone knows. If we go out once and you're not into me, you don't need to tell me that; it's totally fine. But if we hang out a bit, have a blast together, and our genitals have locked in, don't be a freaking coward about it.

It doesn't help starting a relationship at all. People aren't willing to put in the effort when it comes to meeting people/trying things out because they can just find another person to date via the internet.

To your first point, all this seems obvious and something any decent person would do.

To your second, maybe some people but not me for example. I guess it's about what you are on the internet looking for maybe.

Free drinks encourage patrons to buy more drinks and tip more.

I 100% agree, but there are a lot of shitty, inconsiderate people out there, who, in the end, are cowards.

I think what happens a lot is (and this applies to both men and women) but if you have multiple options, and there is a clear #1 and #2 in the pecking order then you hang on to #2 just in case #1 doesn't work out. Once again, it's a shitty thing to do, but I guarantee you many times that's what is going on.
