Re: Officially priced out?

I'm toooooooo old to prove this or try, BUT where there's a will, there's a way. I believe someone could see EVERY show minus 2 stands SPAC, and West Palm, if you're solo, knowing the DMB community well enough, and if you were patient, you could see DMB in the lawn, FREE, 41 shows.......I know I could pull it off. True story. Seems like a College summer DARE, for someone.

I think prices are extremely reasonable, comparatively speaking.

The add on fees are absurd but you get that everywhere.

I have no problems with paying $75 for a ticket I just wish I could do it DIRECT to the band and not through god damn livenation and ticketmaster. Why not adopt the Louis CK mentality and sell direct to the public and to tell resellers to piss up a rope?

    Just my .02

I agree. Even warehouse has 15 dollars in fees and shipping.

It's the reason I'm only doing 2 shows this summer. Just too much for fairly similar sets between shows now a days

Exactly. I went through this in the '04-'06 years and only was doing 1 or so per tour. I just don't live close enough to the venues and having to get a hotel at places adds to the cost. We'll see how varied the setlists seem to be once the tour starts, but I may only do one this year...we'll see.

Because Live Nation owns the venues that DMB plays (hell, they pretty much own DMB too). Thus, you have to go through Live Nation to sell tickets. Live Nation has no interest in ending scalping, because they own scalper sites themselves.

    Coran Caphsaw, ya'll.

I believe bands get a discount for playing a tour with a certain number of LiveNation venues in them.
