I was at the winter show in Toronto, and there had to only be 10,000 people there, which was only like 2/3 of the arena. Is that normal for Canada shows?

no Dave and the band do well at the Molson Amp. What happens with the ACC is scalpers buy up tix and people just say no.

I find it odd that there are 7 off days prior and 5 off days after Mansfield.... Wishful thinking that they might show up in Atlantic Canada.

Kinda sad ... we're coming from Western Canada for SPAC and 3 more shows, but skipping TO - just too much of a hassle to drive over the border and back again for a single show. Two night stand and we're there every year!! (but not happening)

Not holding my breath waiting for a Calgary show, either. Gorge is our DMB home: > 500 miles away!!

I took a look on Atlantic Canada Rocks website and twitter account to see if there was any info to support the claim of a concert in Atlantic Canada. I found a tweet from a couple days ago which says that they are expecting a big show here around the summer solstice (June 21). This lines up with the breaks around the Mansfield show. I'm not betting money on anything but it is another interesting piece of evidence to support the possibility of a show. https://twitter.com/atlcanadarocks

Edit: They said info will be out soon. I also tweeted them and have not gotten a response back yet.

I'm optimistic too, my man. DMB is in Indiana on the 21st, though. That's pretty far from Moncton or Halifax. I hope it does happen, though!!

After I had tweeted Atlantic Canada Rocks saying I thought that some things were pointing to the possibility, they asked me to email them. After a few exchanges back and forth they asked me what I expected in a concert if they were to come and what I had been hearing from other people. I had mentioned the info about the break in the dates around Mansfield and that there are a lot of fans in this area.

We exchanged a few emails and that was it. They are still promoting that another concert is coming to Halifax around the end of June but they won't say who it is. At this point there is nothing to say whether it is them or not but it was cool to know that they were interested to know that people want a concert. Even if it's not them coming this year, ACR knows that there is a fan base that would like to see them.

Great that they know that. I really think a DMB show would do very well here between the Maritimes and New England fans.

Revised prediction - DMB at Ottawa Blues Festival July 8.. leaves them an extra travel day from East Troy .. and they can then get to Clarkston for the following night.
One of the few 2-day-between-shows period in July - so that could fit into the Bluesfest (Jul 4-14) sked... what do you think?

We went to the Bluesfest a few years back and absolutely LOVED it. (roadtrip from Moncton NB). We are hoping to go again if and whenever DMB plays there... I would love to see them there this year, but I really doubt that with a 2 day break that they'd make the detour to Ottawa between Alpine and Clarkson.(if they travel only by buss)..?? Or would they fly?

Well, I'd like to thank paunus for giving me a little more hope for a show here in Halifax. Atlantic Canada Rocks tweeted this morning that a large festival announcement should come today and paunus should include DMB. They responded by saying "it should". I'm not sure if this means they think it would only be right if it included them or they know that it is supposed to include them. Either way, this makes me a little excited.
