Pit ticket limit question

For alot of venues the limit for pit tickets is 2. My question is if you bought 2 tix through the citi presale and 2 pit tix during the public sale for the same venue will they void one of those orders? I thought maybe someone here was in that situation before. Thanks.

Thanks for the feedback.... I got 4 pit tix with 2 different credit cards. I don't want to run into an issue at will call the day of the show.

I'd think if you did it on two cards, it should be fine. Though, it could be per TM account.

    Hi,

Most likely they will cancel your entire order without telling you. They are really strict about this ( I know from exp) . I would email them and ask them to cancel one set before they cancel everything.

Livenation/Ticketmaster are complete cunts. Good luck

Edit: Read some of the other responses.... It doesn't matter how many credit cards you use. They track it based on billing/shipping address. You can read about this on their website.

So four college kids living together are only allowed 2 tickets between them, even if they all pay with their own cards and use their own accounts?

    That doesn't sound right.

I know it's crazy. But it helps prevent people from scalping.. well, not really because then live nation just scalps more tickets on stubhub.

    Re: Pit ticket limit question

Hold up.. I did notice they changed the wording on todays sale compared to the CITI one..

I bought my tickets through CITI and it stated clearly that it was per household. But currently it says this..

There is a strict ticket limit. Over the Limit accounts will be cancelled without notice. Pit: 2 ticket limit. Pavillion/Reserved:4 ticket limit. Lawn: 6 ticket limit. After the first 24 hours of public on sale the ticket limit will be 10.

It states accounts. So if you bought it with different accounts (maybe different cards?) it may work. But on the Citi pre sale it was per household i know that for sure,.

Thank for all the good feedback, I'm gonna wait it out and see what happens. If my entire order gets cancelled I hope they do it in enough time so I could get tix in the 200's at least. I'll be pissed if I lose all 4. Me, my wife and 2 friends just wanna go and have fun.... I'm not some scumbag trying to scalp them.

So when you picked up your tix at will call nobody gave you any trouble? My main concern is having a problem the day of the show. If they cancel me before I won't be happy but at least I can get something better than the damn lawn.

Everything I read on there said that if you're over, some/all of your order will be cancelled and refunded. So it'll happen before you roll to the venue.

They might not call you up and tell you they're doing it though, so watch My Account on TM and watch your bank account.

I actually got three Pit through Citi presale and just called up TicketMaster. I wasnt aware until today that there was a ticket limit for Pit. Surprisingly nice lady talked to me about it at TM and said that my second transaction will be cancelled in such a situation and will be notified via email. So they wont do it and you leave you hanging at the will call window.

She told me it should be within the next 24 hours if they do go about cancelling ticket orders.

No problems. Like the others said, if they plan on cancelling them, you would know before hand. I would wait it out, chances are you'll be fine. Good luck.

Well that's a good little tidbit to know. good luck to you all, hope they don't take them from you!

and if they do cancel...then theoretically the tickets would be placed back in the pot for someone else to snag

I think this is what they generally do. This happened to me in 2010 with John Mayer.

Still havent received any cancel notice for my one ticket over 2 from ticketmaster like the lady from TM said I would within 24 hours (this occurred on Friday.) Card is still charged and the order is still on my LN account. Chances they let one ticket slide??

I'd rather know sooner than later so I can scramble to get one more pit for starlake for my buddy who would be S.O.L.

I also did the same thing for my Citi Presale. I ordered a single, and then a pair. Everything is showing up as well....no cancels and looks good on My TM. I have 2 confirmation numbers also.

I have the convenience of having the venue 8 mins from my house. Last year, I went like 2 months before the show and picked my tickets up from WillCall. I might do the same before they cancel. Man, I'm nervous....

That's actually a really good idea. I might have to do the same if Starlake allows me to do that. You'd think they would try to cancel our tickets as soon as possible so they could sell them just as quick, although I am sure Pit isnt a tough sale that would sit around haha

They can still cancel the tickets after you have them in hand.

They did it last year when LN mistakenly mailed out pit tickets that were supposed to be will-called.

I'm going to call later this week and try to get it sorted out. Last year was super easy. Went there on lunch break and got my tickets in hand.

Yes, I've heard. But once picked up from WillCall, that's it. Same as last year. They allow early pickup at my venue.

I called and asked before public sale. They said that limits were specific to each sale. In other words, Citi limit is for citi purchases during Citi pre-sale.
I actually ordered 3 Pits during Citi pre-sale and realized the limit later. I called LN to cancel the extra. They were very cool about it.
Ordered 2 more on Public sale with different card just in case.

Does anybody know if this applies to warehouse tickets? My wife and I each scored a pair of Pit tix through the warehouse using the same credit card...
