Different show, ajc. I took a risk getting warehouse seats at Jones Beach, which has muffled sound throughout but the venue is down the road from a friend so geographically it works. Just worried they stuck me up in the compromised sound sections (which is probably everywhere except GA).

Yeah. It can suck but they've been doing this since summer 2003, second tour I requested for. Maybe they did it cause I joined...

I still don't fully understand why they do it. They first said it was for scalping but you still announce them before they ship and ship them roughly 2 weeks before the show so people can still turn them around pretty quick.

That's right you never got seat locations until you opened the FedEx envelope
Hell you didn't have as much trouble getting tix either because they limited the number you could buy

When did you never get seat locations until the tickets arrived? My first tour was D&T 03 and they gave me my section and row when confirmations went out.

I THINK the first year you knew your seats was '03...am I wrong?

I remember opening Spring '02 tickets and getting one pair in the 4th row (05/15) and another pair in the back of the venue (05/16)

How about if we use the terms:

"Section/Row" - which always come after confirmations and always after general public onsale (except for the 2 April shows, which we got beforehand), usually a month or so after confirmations

or

"Seat Numbers" - which we never know until receiving the physical tickets about 10 days before the show (or first show in a series of shows)

The only thing I can tell you is that Dave and Tim in 03 seats were shown on the status page when confirmations were posted BEFORE the public on sale dates. Dave and Tim tour was also the first tour they delayed shipping. Before you got them not too long after confirmations. That tour is when they started the shipping 2 weeks before the show. Then summer 03 they delayed the seats being posted until well after public on sale dates.
