Re: Californication

Solid episode, I liked the way they used flashbacks to show testimonies

I HATE when shows do the sitcom fantasy bit. I thought this show was better than that.

it was a 2 minute part of the episode. it was cliche but nothing too bad.

i really loved this episode. everything from dinner to the 4 of them smoking on the patio was just brilliant.

I enjoyed it. It'd be nice if he somewhat had his shit together away from Karen next season. And Abby would be a good fit.

great finale. didnt have shit on last season's but it was good.

overall this was still probably the worst season because the story kind of grinded to a halt with hanks trial looming and what not. sucks that is was the finale, i thoroughly enjoy looking forward to this show every week.

He's made out with every attractive woman he has come in contact with the entire series. I think the only recurring female character he hasn't made out with is Marcie. And he might of done that at some point.

This is such a great show, and I think this season proved it. By now in a series like this things either get stale or already have been for a while, and even with a not so good plot to work with (the trial) they still made it pretty funny/interesting. I just hope next season they can get back to having more happen in each episode. The first two seasons have so much shit going on and I feel like that's what made them great, less each episode relying on the next to wrap things up. Just my opinion.

I enjoyed this season a lot more than season 3. I felt like Hank's teacher career was a very contrived plot device.

I liked this season because Hank had to finally start answering for his actions. About time.

All of this. I thought this season was very good. And I thought they did a great job of balancing drama and comedy. They've always been good at that, but the stakes were that much higher this season.

I agree about the teaching thing but there were 2/3 throwaway episodes this year after previously having none the entire series.

Finally caught up on the last two episodes of the season. Really enjoyed the finale, though I knew there was no way is was going to be able to touch the S3 finale (I think that one is hands down the best episode of a fantastic show). I thought mixing the movie and real life at the end was great, and the entire dinner season was absolutely hilarious. Maybe it was a tad over the top, but based on all of the personalities on the room, it almost seemed like a blow-up like that was expected.

Now cue the long wait for S5. At least I'll have Weeds to help tie me over once it starts up again...

Somehow is difficult to find online - does anyone know what the song is they play during the "last time on Californication" section? It may be just house music, but it sounds familiar.
