Most important here, though, is that you can see the floor without the folding chairs. There's the open, half-circle area and a series of little steps encircling it like ripples in a pond. That's the prime real estate.

Katy mentioned standing on one of those stairs. You might be a little further back, but you're a head above everyone. It's a sweet deal.

The worst place to sit is way off to the side on the concrete benches. You're pretty much at a 90-degree angle to the stage.

Yes, and we were pretty close to the side...but I did that out of choice because that made us closer to the stage (to Boyd) than being more towards the center on the steps. I loved the spot we had so much that I also went to that spot for 2 nights of SCI in 2012, even though you could go pretty much anywhere since that crowd is so chill (and smaller). Highly recommend the steps (especially for shorter people who don't want to feel claustrophobic on the floor).

And yes...I was by myself or maybe with 1 other on some nights and I laid out 1-2 blankets to save spots for a group of 6 of us. People are pretty respectful about the blankets...I'd say as long as you aren't 1 person saving spots for like 10+.

Oh, and as for drinking in line...yeah, no problem with that. You may want to have a cup in case security is around and they get on your case. But I had wine in a cooler (w/ a cup to drink it out of) and I have also mixed rum and cokes in a soda cup. Beer might be more of an issue w/out a cup if they don't want you drinking so obviously in public. Although it's not a dry campus, so they probably don't really care and may just not want glass around...so yeah, I'd just bring a cup.

For those of us who aren't Warehouse members... any idea how easy/feasible it will be to get tickets? I know it holds just 8500, would like to go to all 3 if I could, but will settle for whatever it is I can get.

Moving from NY to SF pretty soon, so was pretty stoked when I saw a 3-day weekend at Berkeley (and unphased by zero shows on ling island or in NYC)

You had a cooler? What did you do with it when you went into the show?

I can't remember.

Either: it was a soft (small-ish) cooler that I just stuffed into my friend's backpack or my husband took it back to the car. I think my husband took it to the car.

Went to all 3 in '08 and it was magical! I was standing in the beer line on the left side of the stage before the show when The Man Himself came walking through the crowd, put his hands on my shoulders and told me to enjoy the show. I still don't think I've fully recovered...

Can't WAIT till these shows!! Anyone else planning on doing the Berkeley shows then heading up to the Gorge from SF? This will be my first Gorge show so I'm beyond excited!

We have a group of 10-15 that will be doing Greek --> Bend --> Gorge. I can't wait for these shows since I missed them in '08.

I think I am going to have to do these shows alone...good idea/bad idea? My main concern coming from the middle of the country is not knowing anybody. Also with these shows being all GA not having someone there to save my spot during piss breaks/drink runs. Anybody who has done the Greek before, tell me what you think. Any info is good info!

I am doing Berkeley > Bend > The Gorge alone, flying and driving!

Would be great to have some sort of "Ants" gathering to hook up with others

There is lots of time im sure you will have no trouble meeting up with someone. There will be Ants everywhere. We are staying at the Motel 6 in Berkeley and im guessing we wont be the only Ants there. We are also doing the Berkeley, Bend Gorge run and giving serious thought to Chula Vista and Irvine.

I am not, but am friends with a bunch of them. You should def jump into the Gorge thread as there are lots of good peeps in there many of which are doing Bend/Gorge or some combination.

Obvs as it gets closer we'll have a better plan, but I believe we're going to pre-game at Jupiter in Berkeley.

Pre game at Jupiter...I'm staying right across the street at Hotel Shattuck. Awesome! Looks like I picked the right hotel. Looks like a quick walk across campus to the Greek.

I haven't been in forever, but my pals that live in the Bay hit it up every time.

I love and hate that our shows are at the end. Love it cuz of the Gorge Labor Dave Weekend, but man am I jealous of the early shows and the quality of his voice and the variety of sets.

I booked a double double for $115/night. We have three if not four staying in the room so not too bad. It's a local place, not a chain and had pretty good reviews on trip advisor.

I was one of the people who got "railed" on Friday and Sunday of '08. To get the coveted front row spot, my buddy and I got there at 8 AM and literally started the line at the left side entrance. Less than 2 minutes later, Zach (I believe that was his name...he is on here too) showed up, and 10 minutes later a group of 3 floridians arrived. We all ended up with front row/front row center spots! Ended up catching a stick Carter threw out! Amazing experience but I doubt I'll be doing anything that extreme again. Looking to grab a few spots on the stone steps this year. There really isn't a bad seat in that entire venue and the sound is fantastic if you can get a middle section seat.

I still can't believe they're playing the greek again, and with a new set format!!! I posted in the tour rumors section that I didn't feel it was economical for them to make such a move from Shoreline to the Greek and that they'd probably never play it again....looks like I'm eating my words haha.

If I don't get tickets to these shows thru WH, will it be hard to get any at all thru Ticketmaster and so on.....how is the demand so to speak..haven't got a clue

You shouldnt have too much trouble. DMB isnt the drawn they used to be in NorCal. If for some reason you cant get anything from WH or TM, tix always become available as the shows get closer.

Where in Sweden are you from?
