some recent signings include: Flacco, Rodgers, Ryan, Kaepernick, Brees

andy dalton has a glaring difference in career achievements compared to these guys, can you guess what it is?

this dalton signing falls into the matt stafford/tony romo category as way above market value

Yep, could be we are looking at annual salary in the 10 million range and a balloon payment of 65 million for year 6.

they both average exactly 10 regular season wins

also, one playoff win when you're 1-4 in the postseason isn't way more impressive than 0-3

I'd take Matt Ryan over Andy Dalton anyday. Really hoping there is 3-4 years guaranteed in the Dalton contract.

one playoff win in 5 chances isn't a great number, though.
he didn't play well last year when he lost two of his top weapons.
agreed on the defense though.
i just wouldn't say they're terribly far apart.

i think Ryan and Dalton are worlds apart

in 2012 Matt Ryan had 70% completions with 6 TDs and 3 INTs, with a 1-1 record

and absolutely no defense around him

i'll take Matt Ryan everyday of the week especially when you throw Dalton's new contract into the mix

Tuel may be the worst QB on an NFL roster..

Manuel is bad and probably always will be but he deserves at least another year or two
