Find me an educated sox fan who is mad they did not pay jacoby. Such a dumb point to make. Gotta consider the source though.

I'd honestly forgotten about an incident of Ortiz getting hit by a Rays pitcher earlier in the year. was there any direct retaliation later within the same game?

Not by Ortiz. He was the one who was hit intentionally by price. Everyone in baseball knew his next homer against the rays would be pimped out.

Don't give recentlyjtr too much credit. His envy of Boston has turned him into one of those guys who trolls the city every chance he gets. He doesn't think about his posts at all before he makes them. It's tough to watch.

ortiz got drilled by price. they had words with eachother through the media after the game.

nothing happened friday night in the price/ortiz matchup except for ortiz getting an RBI single. ortiz pimped a HR against archer last night though. pretty funny to hear archer get all pissy about it.

I have to take my pokes at the Braves whenever I can. I'm one of like 28 Marlins fans left in the world, so my joy is rather limited these days (except for those two WS titles, which gives us the same amount as the Phillies and Mets, two more than the Expos/Nationals, and one fewer than the Braves who have been around since the Grant administration).

Most of the NL east has enjoyed some level of recent success. Not the braves though. Yikes. You can understand why their fans are pretty butthurt.

it sucks what Howard's going through, there's so much venom against him in Philly and its kind of unfounded (maybe someone shouldnt have offered him a $25mm/yr deal TWO years before his current deal ended)....that said, no athlete will ever win when he pulls the "you dont know what its like" stuff

I do know what it's like to hit .227, though. Probably had a similar BA during little league.

I had a crazy high batting average in little league, thanks to very few official AB's. I was such a fucking runt at that age I swear my strike zone was about 6 inches so I just got walks for half the game

walks dont help your batting average, but the concept of plate appearances can be confusing

Marlins were down 6-0 to the Nats, came back to win it on a walk off, 7-6. Scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 9th. Might be wise to watch out for these guys!

They could very easily make a run for the division or wild card, don't sleep on them.

Don't get me started on him.

I pretty much gave up on them after he got rid of all the players he bought prior to the 2012 season. But Mike Redmond and these young guys won my heart over at some point last year and I'm giving them another shot. But I'll never have anything good to say about Jeffrey Loria. Man is a cancer.
