Jimi Thing at Caravan Gorge. I fell asleep, a practice I continue to this day with that song.

Have to agree with this. 09 was only my 3rd year of seeing shows so i would have enjoyed anything i think. in hindsight, i'm glad the only show i went to that year was 4/22 in Raleigh.

9th show Blossom '07. I was so ready for a killer show after they opened with Two Step but the show was a complete disaster. The show was so much worse than the set, and the set was not good.

I can't remember the exact show, but it was in either VA or NC when I heard my first can't stop. I wasn't so much frustrated as appalled. I do remember it wasn't too long after I signed up here (2006).

Boston N2 Fall 2010. Night 1 was killer and there was so much on the table for N2, but they turned in a snoozefest of a set.

Time Bomb>Cornbread encore on 5.25.2012 was the first time I left a show actually scratching my head. And LITHOG was such a complete trainwreck that night. They've only played it 5 times since. Essentially the death of my favorite live song off of BW, and I had been spoiled seeing it at it's best at the AC and Randall's caravans.

Winter 2000 - Saw them in Boston on a Tuesday, and then in Providence on a Saturday and they basically repeated the same show.

Can't believe i'm bitching about a 2000 show, but knowing what I know now, I would die for either set now.

Re: The first time you were frustrated

I don't recall ever being really frustrated by a show, as I usually have a good time. Mansfield 2008 was decent, but it ended wicked early. Then there was the encore. Worst I've ever seen, and first and only that I've walked out on.

    Sister
    Thank You

What was frustrating about 08 was that you knew exactly what they were closing the second night with every time. I hate that song. It's one thing if you get something like Baby Blue -Ants and THEN Thank You (like we got at the Garden fall 2012), but to close out with it as a two song encore? Awful.

The closing run for Mansfield 2010 was also a bit of a downer. Not the worst ever, but not great. Can't Stop, Crash Into Me, Gravedigger, You Might Die Trying and Watchtower (not a bad song, but was sick of it in 2010).

Other than that my only real frustration with this band has been the prescence of Rashawn Ross and the lack of Boyd. I can kind of deal with Rashawn, but the lack of Boyd has been really upsetting. So far he sounds like he's been turned up this year (he's audible on every Belly Belly Nice this year so far) and he actually sounds pretty on point. That has me pretty excited this year.

6th show, Hershey '05 was and still is the worst show I've seen. I left more bewildered than frustrated, just didn't know what hit me.

First thing that I got frustrated over was seeing Where Are You Going six times in my first 10 shows over the span of seven years. Became the automatic bathroom song after the first time.

The first show that kind of disappointed me was my fourth show, 6.9.2001 at RFK stadium. I was excited because it was my first road trip to see the band with my friends. But it was 2001. Looking back on it, there were good elements to that show, like seeing Fishtender for the first time, and the mid-set Two Step. But the band didn't sound great in the stadium, the Everyday songs didn't sound great, and I was treated to one of those 15-minute Angels with the Ladies. Ick.

Dallas, 9/11/10. The show opened with The Last Stop so I thought, "This is going to be an amazing show!" But then shortly after that, two rough runs showed up.

Chicago 01 - the Pig show.

Ladies, Butch, The Dreaming Tree Tease to open just set the tone, and the whole thing sucked from there. What a bullshit show.

Tour opener in 2007, thought the show sucked to the high heavens. On paper it's not awful but I've never seen the band play more sloppy and they just seemed completely off.

nobody knew what the hell was going on and couldn't believe they would end a show with an encore of two covers they've never really played before.

other than that, camden N2 is typically one of the best shows of the tour. 2006, 07, 09, 10, 12, and 13 are all great for their respective years.

this is it for me as well

I also attended the show the night before at Columbus Crew stadium, a mere 2 to 2.5 hours away.
They repeated 11! songs and both shows had the exact same encore of:

    Little thing (tease)
    Gravedigger
    Ants Marching

It's honestly funny to look back on it now, I would've left that show fuming today.
Something similar happened to me. I have 2 moments. This one was...drive to Hangout Festival at the beach and see a great show. Come all the way back to near Savannah, GA then go to the ATL show...they repeat almost the whole show. Opened with Sweet, and wow it was just downhill from there. Besides Seek Up the ATL show was pretty bad. Left disappointed that I didn't go to Charlotte instead. I don't understand why they repeat so much stuff back-to-back sometimes.

Next was Duluth 2012. They played all of AFTW except Gaucho I think. Seems like a weird thing to complain about, huh? Playing almost an entire album. The show never got off the ground. Kofi missed his "spot" in Jimi by a MILE (really awkward), Zac made the band mess up Watchtower. Wasn't a great show. I had unrealistic expectations after the Philips Arena ATL 2010 show was so good (followed by a great Charleston show the next day too).

That Last Stop tease was probably the 1st time I was really frustrated. Plus, we got Spacebread two nights that run.

Everyday - horrid way to end a Gorge weekend

Sweet Up and Down was cut from the main set, ABI cut from the encore.

I didn't think I could be more disappointed with a show at Gorge, then 2009 happened. Fuck those shows.
