Indian Food

I'm going to an Indian place tonight, my first time.

Suggestions for a first timer?

I've had the butter chicken before and it was good, so I'll probably go with that unless convinced otherwise.

also tandoori chicken seems good.

Yeah, I figured the naming of 2 "dot" dishes in the original post would make that pretty clear.

butter chicken does not sound like it belongs to any certain ethnicity.

Just sit at the penny slots and get drunk for the price of tips

Wow, relax dude. I'm just pointing out that butter chicken is an Indian dish.

A link makes that point, don't need a long post about it

Naan (our best local place has the most amazing garlic naan)
    Vegetable biryani
    Tandoori chicken
    Eggplant bharta
    Mushroom matar

I would suggest getting everything mild the first time. That way you can really experience the flavors without being overwhelmed the hotness.
