I would consider shooting myself if Cornbread, Seven, and Jimi were played in a row.....let alone a 3 song ultimate playlist! Who are these freaks?!

I haven't sent an official request, but Cornbread, Seven, and Jimi would be just fine by me.

Those who complain about these things tend to be the ones who inexplicably have enough cash (and free time) to just follow the band around for half the summer or more. You can start to lose appreciation when it's your routine to see the same band play 10 times in a season.

Not necessarily. I only see the band a max of 4 times a summer. Last year and this year I'll only see them twice each. When you've seen them multiple times across the years and you hear the same songs, they get old. DMB has the reputation as a band who changes it up and doesn't play the same songs every night. Thus when that reputation falls flat and they are repeating songs each time you see them, it gets old. Especially when you're not crazy about a song to begin with, i.e. Cornbread.

Disagree. Those are just bad/stale songs to see live. The amount of shows you see is irrelevant. If I'm only seeing 1 to 2 shows a year (which I do), I want to hear the band's better/best songs. Not SMLAM, Cornbread, You & Me, Seven, etc.

The old addage of saying "don't watch set lists or don't go to 10 shows a year and then bitch".....doesn't apply anymore.

If you've gone to 1 show a year for the last 5 years, you're going to be bored of seeing the same (bad) songs pop up in the set.

I am the one show a year guy who is bored stiff and happy to complain about the current state of DMB.

I went to as many shows as I possibly could when I first became a fan and then is dawned on me: I'm wasting A LOT of money.

Now, I see one show a tour and still feel disappointed sometimes.

^ I'm pretty much there with you. I usually hit the 2 shows that are relatively close to me, and hit a different venue every year as a destination/trip. This year I am thinking of hitting deer creek, but after I spent a small fortune for alpine last year I really don't know if I can go through with it. Alpine last year really brought my DMB morale to the lowest point it's ever been, I guess I was expecting too much, but that weekend was not what I was expecting.

I always wanted to hit up the gorge, but I just don't think I can spend the $$ and get seven, cornbread, eh hee and the like all weekend and leave dissappointed. I'm sure I sound like an entitled bitch, but I can't help being disappointed with this band sometimes after seeing the awesomeness they are capable of.

For me anyway, it is a complete 180 from where I believe this band once was. I used to go to shows (all the way through the mid-2000s) and get a few tunes that I could've done w/o, but I would leave happy and be eager for the next show. Now, I get a few tunes that I'm happy to hear and debate if it's even worth going to again. The #DMB2sets this year is the only reason I'm going.

Pretty much how I feel, I think that variety is at too high a premium. I really like the recent tour staples, but I could go ten shows before seeing another crush, Rapunzel, DDTW, etc etc and be perfectly content with those being swapped for some other tunes of the same caliber. It would also be nice if they changed up seven, cornbread, eh hee, etc etc with other tunes of the same caliber. Their catalog is too big to be playing the same stuff over and over and leave 65% of their other material on the shelf.

This tour will make or break how many more times I see this band in my life. I'm doing more traveling than I ever have to see two SPAC shows (4+ hour drive) Camden N2 and PNC (2 Hours) and spending a good deal of money for a 20 year old student with a part time job. If this tour doesn't do something to make me want to come back, I'll be a one show a year guy by choice from 2015 on.

I'm going out big this year regardless of what happens (and I'm not expecting much from the band). 11 shows...Pelham, ATL, SPAC (1st time), all 4 Florida shows, Gorge for the last time. More excited about good times with old/new friends than what we get at the shows...great shows will be gravy to 17 years of following the band. Pretty sure I'll stick to local shows going forward; maybe one travel trip a year.

agreed... i actually like the music towards the end of the song (also because the song is ending ) but lyrically, is it as cheesy as it gets in pop music

Oh, the chorus is the worst!!! The music and lyrics for the verses are actually pretty good, but when that chorus hit the first time I listened, I was like, "What. The. Fuck?"

I would probably like the song if the lyrics in the chorus were any good.
