Yep that's the one! They just played 5 shows that were not only one set but were one set shows that got graded a C or lower overall by the poll. The last 4 summers have been way below par and a lot of if has to do with an increase in age, which affects the F.I.T.T. Principle. This is why they are changing to a 2 set format.
Frequency: Amount of shows played per week or total combined over the summer. Less 2 night shows and stops on the tour.
Intensity: Energy and caloric expenditure over a period of time. V02 max decreases with age. Arthritis can affect this as well.
Time: Yes, time. Short compared to long. Longer the time on stage, longer the time on the road, longer the time using repetitive movements are causing an increase in physical ware and year. Especially over the age of 50. Increases in muscle and voice repair time are necessary.
Type: Type of activity. Choosing songs or sets that are easier and less complex. Types of songs that are easier on the joints. Ex. Boyd being turned down due to arthritis. You can see it with the bow drops now. Also, Carter using more double bass pedal due to the wrists. He needs more than golf gloves to fix that issue.
2 set format will hopefully help fix these problems. They are too old to play one set shows
