I'm not a 24-bit FLAC user, but to my understanding, you first need an audio playback setup capable of appreciating the dynamics that 24-bit offers (very good headphones/speakers, etc). It's like putting a Blu-ray on an old tube television set from '90s. You can watch the movie, but you're not going to get what you paid for with Blu-ray technology.
That said, if you've got the setup for 24-bit, I would try converting the FLAC files to WAV files, then drop the WAVs into iTunes and convert them to Apple Lossless in there. I can't promise that's a perfect system, but it's worth a try.
