I think if EVERY set were as bad as these were, many of us really would give up. But a few times every tour they play a set worth seeing and we all end up chasing that high for another year.

Was anybody expecting anything different? International shows are typically below average save for a few songs or guests. Were we expecting Last Stop and Spoon? Amazing how people are panicking before we've even seen a single 2 set show.

i was thinking the B/B- range. The sets are not amazing by any means, but depending on the time of year, some sets always seem to be better than others. Across the pond always appears to have more "safe" shows. i.e. playing songs that everyone has heard of.

    These shows are fine.

I mean would we really want Crowded House come to the US and play Neil Finn's hidden instrumental outro from the Split Enz record? Hell no, we'd be pissed. Give us the hits.

From seeing the band in Europe, I assume they're having a blast on stage in a new city in front of new crowds. How amped up can you be to play the Hartford Meadows for the 36th time?

We can't be critical. But if I don't hear a mid set Monkey Man followed by the One Sweet World intro fake into Too Much at SPAC N2 this summer, I'm going to be pissed

    Today they played:

    Funny the Way It Is
    Satellite
    Don't Drink the Water
    Rooftop
    So Much to Say
    Too Much
    You & Me
    Jimi Thing
    Everyday
    Ants Marching
    Grey Street

    On 4/17 they played:

    Don't Drink the Water
    When the World Ends
    Funny the Way It Is
    Rooftop
    If Only
    What Would You Say
    Mercy
    So Much to Say
    Too Much
    Grey Street
    You & Me
    Jimi Thing
    Ants Marching

They're playing a bunch of hits. The problem is that the rest of the songs are crap.

If they ever go back to Austraila I'm sure they will. Why wouldn't they? But they release so many shows it shouldn't bother anyone. You don't like it, then don't buy it. Just wait 2-3 months till the next one.

As far as these shows it's pretty much been radio hits plus BW and AFTW. My only problem with that is that it's the same Whiskey and AFTW songs they always play and the rest of those albums sit on the shelf.

Where is Broken Things, The Riff, Gaucho, Snow, and Soldier. Where is A Pie, Hands of God, Baby Blue, Dive In? If they are going to play BW so often why not play more of the album? Switch up the songs a little.

I'll say B-. Sets are pretty much what I expected. They are probably closer to what Australia wants too. Get these tunes out of the way before the US tour.

You are right though... Where are those songs? Do they not know those are good/great? Ex. Snow outside. I feel as though it's more chemistry and physical issues. Ex. Carter using the double bass pedal way more in the last few years probably to compensate for his wrist issues.

Typical tour for those who don't get yearly tours and are probably considered casual. Could you imagine the Crickets if Cry Freedom or Minarets was played mid set. They all would have ran to get more shrimp from the Barby.

Good Passover to you sir. Thank you for agreeing with me. I don't know if I could accept it...I wouldn't want him to aggravate his elbow/or shoulder that seems to be bothering him due to my broad shoulders and wide upper torso.

It's the same, repetitive set lists I've seen since 2010. I'll take spaceman in the E1 slot though. Only positive thing about this tour so far.

They do still play pretty great sets from time to time. Personally, I'm happy to see every show I'm not at have a shitty set. Increases the odds for the shows I'm going to. Never understood the huge disappointment of sets by setlist watchers. It's not realistic that every set be incredible and unpredictable. I'm always rooting for crappy sets leading up to my shows. They're gonna pop out a good one or two eventually.

When have they not played somewhat repetitive setlists? Look at 95, or 97, or 00, or 01, or 04, or any other year pretty much outside 03. Shit, they closed every set except one with Ants in 1995. They get a core group of songs and stick with them for the length of the tour, then will throw in other stuff over time. But a majority of the sets usually contain the same stuff for an entire tour, no matter what the year.
