Got a growler of their helles lager for $40. It's 68 ounces and has a swing top and metal handle. It looked like a stein on steroids. Definitely worth the price especially because it's a little bigger than a normal growler and would be great for refills and resealing.

This is what the growlers look like: http://www.frankenmuthbrewery.com/bl...l-michigan.jpg
Granite City uses those growlers here in Indy....not sure if their other locations use those. They are beastly.

My favorite weekend is here... where BBQ and craft beer collide. If anyone is in the VT area swing by Harpoon and come see Can U Smell My Pits BBQ for some tasty brisket.

Did you end up going to the brewfest in Manch?

Harpoon was awesome once again... We sold out of food by 3p. They give us an absolute ton of free beer tickets for participating. They have a new session called Take 5. Pretty sure I had about a hundred of those!

Into week 2 of not drinking. Not nearly as much fun but I have lost 13 pounds, lol. Kind of mind boggling really. Beer contains carbs!? Who knew...

    Great beer.
I'm 8 weeks into only drinking Friday night to Sunday night. I can certainly tell a difference from when I was having 2-3 each night.

The bad thing is my beer supply is not dwindling as fast and these hops aren't getting any fresher.

On an unrelated note, is there any beer of note I should look for in Montana?

Yeah that's my plan after this month, cut back to Fri/Sat only...we'll see.

As for MT it looks like these are you options you don't already get:
    Boulder
    Dog Tag
    Elysian
    Grand Teton
    Ninkasi
    Snake River
    Tallgrass

Boulder is forgettable, never had Dog Tag. Elysian (Space Dust ), Grand Teton, and Ninkasi have worthy beers seeking out. I've enjoyed Pako's IPA and Zonker Stout from Snake River.

    Yes.

Aaron might be able to provide more specifics on the other breweries out of the NW.

I think you did a pretty good job. Looking at Montana's distribution on seekabrew, there really isn't much there. The only brewery I really know from Montana is Big Sky Brewing, and the only thing I could truly endorse would be Ivan the Terrible and the BA version of that beer.

Also, it's hard for me to support Elysian nowadays, but Space Dust was a very good IPA when I had it last, as were their other seasonal IPAs.

It was very good, yet to have a bad De Garde beer. It was my first time having Wild Peach and that was amazing! I could have licked the inside of that Assassin bottle, so good.

Good to hear about Biere Noir. Agree on the Assassin. I think when we had it at a tasting, we just passed the bottle around and smelled it for a good 2 or 3 hours after we drank the beer.

Check out Muddy Creek in Butte. Never had any of his stuff since he went pro, but I did a bottle trade with one of the owners when he was still home brewing and it was fantastic. They just opened up a few months ago.

If you make it over, Daredevil Lift Off IPA is pretty solid when fresh. Only 6 IN breweries on that list...Sun King is probably worth checking to see what they have. ZwanzigZ does some solid stuff as well. If Upland brings sours then you know what to do....

I'm headed to the first session!

Appreciate that feedback I will most definitely check those breweries out

I wish they released the beer list this early but I suppose that's not feasible. Should have an idea about a week prior.

Founders needs to do a backstage that is just bourbon barrel aged FIS. This beer would crush it with some BA action.
