Even here is seems to show sporadically but the regulars are seemingly around more often so if you can't find any let me know.

The dinosaur glass will be tough to acquire. Harder than the pink one was. I would love one but I doubt I will see it.

Leaving for California tomorrow, few days in Venice then down to Coronado with Coronado Brew Co's bru pub about a mile away from where I'm staying... might be there a time or two.

Especially tough since I have no glasswalez so I'd probably have to trade beer.

IA as in Iowa? I was just out there this weekend, brought home some Iowa Pale Ale from Millstream (a personal favorite) and a 6-er of Blonde Fatale from Peach Tree which my wife fell in love with. Some nice local brews in Iowa.

Anything Toppling Goliath. That's the most important brewery in Iowa.

Just showed up at my local spot: Lagunitas Undercover Investigation Shut-Down Ale.

Pretty damn great. Kicks you in the ass at 9.7%, and there's no hint of that anywhere.

Perfect brew for Blackhawks-Blues game 3. Must win tonight.

Had a Mikkeller Hoppy Easter while in Iowa over the weekend and it was seriously one of the best beers I've tasted in a long, long time. Just unreal good. Not to mention that apparently when you can find it in stores it runs about $12 for a 10 oz bottle - the place I was at had them on draft for $5.50 a pint, and it was 2-for-1 happy hour!

I've been all about IPAs this Winter, but I feel I should branch out now that it's getting warm again. My go-to Summer styles have been hefes, wits, and kolschs...anything I'm missing out on? Or any specific brews that rule these categories?

I know you're in IL, some good local ones:

    Two Brothers Ebel Weiss (Hefe)
    Revolution Bottom's Up Wit
Revolution Cross of Gold Golden Ale
Two Brothers Sidekick (this is an Extra Pale Ale, but an amazing summer drinker.)
    Half Acre Gossamer
Solemn Oath Promiscuou's Apostrophe (Belgian IPA)

Dark Lord day planning is in full swing. my group is about 20 people large and the list of bottles people are bringing is filthy and ridiculous. it's going to be awesome. i also found out the colors of the mini-snifters, which I'm not allowed to say anything about, and I'm pumped for one of them. We will be in line around 5am saturday. if anyone else is going from this group we should plan to connect sometime!

I'm pretty pumped for The Bruery Anniversary party coming up on the 10th - very similar plans. We've got a nice sized group and a pretty ridiculous bottle share happening first.

It's the start of Beerfest season!!!

I would use that for sure.

I love my mug from the Xv party. Probably my favorite piece of glassware. Never been used as it's an odd style for beer. But that's what I like about it aesthetically.

Have any of you been to SPAC for a DMB show? I am going this year for the first time. Flying into Boston and staying there Thursday, driving up to Saratoga Springs Friday for the shows Friday and Saturday. Heading to Portland, ME Sunday and Monday, leaving Boston Tuesday later in the day. If you have gone how did you incorporate your love for fine beer into the trip. The only thing that kind of sucks is that most of the smaller breweries are closed Monday, Sunday or have funky hours. I have some ideas of where I want to go etc.(have been searching like a madman), but wanted to see what you all had to say.

Hearing that the Dark Lord allotment is 4 bottles this year. Of course nothing confirmed until Floyd's actually says it.

    Where's the MBB at????

I have a feeling (like last year) that it will end up with me when I'm out of town. Hoping I'm toward the end too b/c I keep seeing local breweries that are just starting their canning process.

    2 reasons.

    1) yesterday was my day off from drinking
    2) I know when shipping wine, it's best to give it some time after being sloshed around for days before drinking. not sure if the same applies for beer, but didn't want to take the chance.

Neither one of those alone would be enough, but together they were just enough to overcome the urge!
