I am wondering about the ticketing as well. I had WH tix last year so I am not too worried, but I wonder about seat assignments. The other free shows that I have attended, Central Park and Golden Gate, were GA and people made a mad dash for their spots on the lawn. USANA is a regular amphitheater however, and I would think we would have assigned seats otherwise people could get hurt. I guess we will find out soon enough.

I will be there. Had tickets last year through warehouse so should be no problem.

The process will be interesting though. At any rate how many of these "free" tickets will end up in agent/broker hands making the show not free for most people.

I would assume people who got their tickets through the warehouse will be given priority for tickets and be contacted anytime now. As for the people like me who purchased their tickets through Smith's Tix , they are supposed to contact you directly with a password for a ticket 'presale'. Got this straight off of their site:

"If you purchased tickets for last year’s concert on September 1, 2009, you will be contacted directly and given a password to order your free tickets. You will be able to order tickets starting on Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 10am using this password. You can only order the same amount of tickets that you bought last year. These tickets will be distributed as best available. You may request either reserved or lawn seating. There will be a $5.00 per order charge for postage and handling. Tickets will not be made available at any outlet or box office. These tickets will be available until February 8, 2010 at 10am MST. Remaining tickets will be given away starting February 26, 2010 to the general public."

I will have to call them on my lunch break today to see how to get mine. Hope this helps!

yes you can still request however senority will be given to warehouse members that had tickets last year.

It says on the Warehouse that priority will be given to those who got tix through Warehouse. Wonder if that means for seating or just confirmation.

So how does ticketing work for WH members who got confirmed for tix last year? I see that the smithtix people all got tix today.. Makes me a little nervous for getting good seats. I hope the WH set aside a bunch of tix for those of us that confirmed last year.. I want GA Pit damn it!!! Congrats DMB41er!! Thats awesome.

I am sure they have a misc. amount of tickets around the amp. that have been held just for warehouse members. the bummer is we have to wait to find out where our seats are at. I can't remember what section I was in last year but I know they were not bad.

Wow - Smith's Tix finally does something right. I got my tickets this morning. Section 303 Row F; its not GA pit but its a little better than I had last year. Hope all you WH fans hear something soon.

I have a feeling they are going to rock the shit out of this show. This wont be just a normal "non-spac/alpine/gorge" show... They know they have a lot to make up to Utah fans, and the free show was the first huge step in the right direction (very cool of the band/management)! Now, all thats left to do is put on a memorable concert!!

Aug 17th cant get here soon enough..

Really? I expect the show to be average. They skipped town the last two years, they are making it up by giving a free show, I just don't see them braking out some amazing set. 7 grux songs with same stuff mixed in as last year.

You could tell after last year that Dave and Stefan genuinely felt bad about cancelling again. And I think they will carry that emotion into the show and put on one to remember.

Im not saying they will debut Last Stop, or that we will see the return of JTR or anything like that, but I do think something along the lines of a longer show, a few rarities, and some crazy amazing jams (LOIG, Two Step, etc)...

Its not going to be a Gorge N3/SPAC N2/ALPINE N2 etc, but it will be an amazing show.

means plenty of time to rest, along with plenty of energy to expel.

I predict a stellar setlist. DMB is obviously feeling bad about ditching twice. Just my prediction.

Then again maybe their attitude will be, "it's a free show they'll be happy if we play straight through Everyday." Yikes! We'll see.

Yeah an 1 1/2 for me, BY PLANE. Sure wish DMB would give that to me for free.

I believe the senority is if you were confirmed for tickets last year, they have first pick of confirmations this year as well. Good luck getting tix.

It's funny because I recently moved to Idaho thinking maybe a Gorge trip and that would be it. Then D & T came to Vegas and a free show in Salt Lake and then a return to Boise after 10 years of being gone.

I'm pretty stoked.

no doubt! i was amazed how quickly Smith's Tix was on top of those tix! wish smith's tix would take over music today's shipping, still waiting on my dave and tim in vegas cd... sigh...

If I dont get my GA pit tickets, I am going to be irate. Especially since I was confirmed for last years show through the WH. It would be just like the WH to play the whole senority game and then fuck people like me in the end...
