Ya, Salt Lake is an interesting place to say the least. If you're looking for places to go/hangout the East side is where it's at... check out the area around the U such as Sugarhouse. That area is a bit more liberal/normal.

I am excited for this show. After I found out last year the wife and I drove to park city to drink the night away.

We stayed in downtown SL last year, I think we might try and find a hotel in Park City this year.

that would be awesome. its true though.. cant argue when you double your profits!

I love Park City. Lived there for close to 8 years. If you want a luxury hotel to stay at, I work at the new St Regis in Park City. I can see what I can do to hook you up...

Good question. Doors open at 5:30. And it is a workday for most people. I've been to a couple of free shows, but they were GA so I think they were a bit different.

Central Park we had VIP so we hung out until right before the gates opened and had a great spot.

Golden Gate we were there super early in the morning and made a mad dash to the front.

I am with ya! I have already requested the day off from work. I have a crazy friend from San Fran that will wait in line with me. He was on his way to the airport last year when we found out the show was canceled.

from what i understand, they are taking the entire 100's section and turning that into the GA pit.. there should be quite a few people down there, i would imagine.

i went to rock the bells there a few years ago and they had a GA pit...now that i think of it yea the whole 100's were gone...i dont think i wanna stand at the back of the pit...only problem is that sitting in the sun for 6 hours or so in the middle of august = a sweet sweet sun burn...i guess its worth it to get from row...hope people are gonna be douches when i have to piss before the show starts i better get my spot back or there will be a lot of people with wet feet

There are going to be so many people at this show. I've never been to Gorge or spac so I don't know how many people go to those, but this place is going to be packed.

Luckily tickets were sold out in 15 minutes, which i think means that weeded out the casual fans.
should be a good crowd.

I am hopeful of this too! I haven't heard a ton of promotions on the radio so we might get lucky.

my thoughts exactly. i got confirmed for the 4 GA pit through the WH, and then I "bought" 4 lawn seats from smithtix to have as some extras for my friends... i feel like most people prob got 4 tickets... hell, why wouldnt you? for 5 bucks?

I put in for Pit and got 2 for "Reserved 1." Has anyone talked to WH to find out if this is the lower section? Logic says yes, but I'd thought I'd ask in case someone already made the phone call.

Congrats to GA Pit ticket holders. That is awesome! I'd line up super early and go for the front. It is worth it once you get there. I'll be doing that at Boise.

This show is really going to be awesome I think they'll play their hearts out after screwing the venue 2 years in a row. I just moved to Pocatello, so I'm reaping the benefits.

It sucks...

I think people will pay if they want to go to the show. They'll probably think, "$30 is cheap"...not thinking that the scalper paid $1.25 for the tickets.

I am from michigan and requested these via WH.I got 2 reserved 2 and became a WH member since 1/26/2010. I'm going to some shows over this way but lived in SLC for a month after college last yr. I love it out there so i'm gonna come back for hopefully a sick "make-up" show from the guys. Hopefully the WH gets me some good seats!

Yeah...seniority/randomness is differn't with the whole confirming tix for people who had them last year first...what a mess, but I'm happy with where I am at for sure.

So, my friend comes home with a box of Ketchup chips on friday. A co-worker that she hired is Canadian and recently went home for a visit. He said that she was so nice during the hiring process that he wanted to bring her a treat! Mmmmmm nothing better than Old Dutch Ketchup Chips!
