It's never too early! Who's ready for 2 (or dare I say 3) kick ass nights in Mansfield?! Seeing Pelham and Southaven announced made me jump the gun on this.

I'm shocked they are doing a weekend in Mansfield, usually they get stuck with a weak M-W show...

How's Mansfield in general? It's that time of year when I decide where to see the band and it looks like the new England area this year. I've read the pit is small. True? Decent tailgating?

I did a back section for one night and one night on the lawn last summer. In general, neither were really that bad for sound or view. Obviously the lawn was a little noisier than the seated section; but, overall, not too bad.

If you do end up going with seating, rather than pit or lawn, I suggest finding a spot near the middle of a row. The large pillars can obstruct some view if you sit near the end.

I'm late to the party but holy shit! A weekend! Not sure why Hartford is the weekend before and they have the week off. Are they touring New England colleges or sight seeing in Boston?

I'll tell you newbies one thing about Mansfied: The parking sucks. Pay the $30 or whatever it is to park in the lot on the right before the entrance to the main lots. You can drink and get out of there much easier. If you go in the main lots and stay for the whole show, you seriously may not leave until 1am. That's not a joke. It's happened before and the show ends at 11pm. But it's a good time, there's camping nearby, the Cape is 45 minutes away, Boston is 45 minutes away, Gillette Stadium is 20 minutes away and Rhode Island is 30 minutes away.

I have a feeling we'll be seeing more of the Pacific Blue/Cops on Bikes routine this year. Not that it's a bad thing, because seeing 17 year old kids puking on vodka by 4pm is not a fun sight, especially when it happens everywhere. But if you're just chillin with a stogie and a brewski, take off.

I'll back up the parking lot claim. Both nights I went we were nearly two hours trying to get out of the lots. It was a mess.

Last year I parked in a lot across the street. It isn't free, but you get out quicker and can drink without being hassled by cops on bikes and in golf carts.

Not to sound like a cliche, Nancy but it's what you make of it really. I went in 2008 and had an awesome time tailgating with a buddy of mine. Drank and stogies. A lot of fun and I believe it was right before Leroi passed. Haven't been to SPAC but if you are within driving distance, try Mansfield. It's a weekend and you can do lots in New England in the summer.

I mean it's a N2 show so maybe. But like you said it's a Sunday, and N1 was a better show last summer.

for those coming out of state and hitting up both Hartford and Mansfield and staying the week. You can catch the Sox home game on Sunday or the Thursday before Hartford, but they will be away for the week before Mansfield unfortunately. Sucks when that happens. Now it is conceivable to check out of your room Sunday morning in Hartford and go straight to Fenway for a Sox game and then go to your campsite or whereever you're staying for the week. No doubt there'll be some coming for their annual trip.

Anyone else bummed over the fact that the opt out button for warehouse requests is for both lawn and uncovered reserve? There really should be two separate buttons or one just for the lawn.

Here's my conundrum. Do you think I would have a better shot at getting seats if I did:

    1) Check the opt out button and request 2 seats for Mansfield N1, OR
    2) Request 2 seats for Hartford N2

Sorry. I know that is a bit confusing. Any input would really help!

I was wondering what the difference between uncovered pavilion 1 and uncovered pavilion 2 is.

Probably less demand for Mansfield, but maybe not since it is a weekend this year. I got covered Pavillion both nights last year and have only been a warehouse member for 2 years currently.

I think uncovered Pavillion 2 used to be lawn but they added seats. So little further back than uncovered Pavillion 1.

Okay. Though getting confirmed for seats had nothing to do with seniority. Now it sort of does due to the new "priority" rule.

Yes the other lots are better than the free lots. I'd much rather pay then deal with all the crap that happens in the free lot.

Has anyone ever done the VIP package for Mansfield ? We requested this for N1 in Mansfield this year.

What kind of seats did you guys pull for Mansfield last year. Is it a tough venue to get tickets for?
