I haven't been to the Pine Knob show in a few years and I missed some of my favorite songs, so I'm not making that mistake again. I'm going to attempt to make Deer Creek, Pine Knob, and Alpine this year.

I wonder if we'll get lucky this year and get a weekend show. I'm so sick of the Pine Knob show being on a Tuesday....

I'm on the same page. No more Tues/Wed shows. I know that'll never happen though, because Pine Knob is their warm up for Alpine, and Alpine was awesome.

Yeah, my family was on vacation in Virginia Beach. I always liked DMB, and i got really into them last year.

There's not really a pattern for dates, they are just all over the place.

My mistake, I had to miss both to stay with my pregnant lady. Can't wait to take my son to his first show (when he's a little older)!

The only venue I go to every year and it will probably be my only show this year (unless an Alpine trip ends up in the works).

Definitely looking for a bounce-back show this year as the 2012 show was one of the weaker ones they have played at DTE, considering every show previously was great!

Some cool highlights last year, though, in Little Thing (tease) You Never Know, Lie in Our Graves, encore LIOG reprise, Hallowbillies!

Officially, official now. I'm probably taking the whole week off. I get Friday's off in the summer and with July 4th off there is a 4 day weekend. So gonna go back to work Monday, off Tuesday and Wed, back Thursday and then off Friday? Nah.

This is a very busy summer for me. I'm getting married in June then going on a 2 week honeymoon and it looks like this is the only show that my fiance and I will be able to do. I've never been to this venue though, so I'm wondering what its like and how the tailgating is.

It's pretty mellow, at least in my opinion, in terms of tailgates I've seen at others but still a good time. Venue is awesome. One of the smallest if the not the smallest on the summer tour. Great sound and great atmosphere. Get there early, we usually get there around 4, because you could be fighting rush hour traffic closer to showtime. Its a bitch too.

Congrats on the wedding. Where you going for the honeymoon?

Awesome, I just wanted to make sure they weren't Nazis who hate tailgating.

And thank you, we're actually going to the Maldives for our honeymoon (its in the Indian Ocean, I had to look it up the first time). We get back in the US on July 7th and are both still off work the next 2 days, so we're actually going to be ending our wedding/honeymoon with this show.

I will say about tailgating there was one douche hole back in 2008 who was a prick to us but we never had an issue since then. So I wouldn't worry about it. Make sure you have plastic cups though.

That sounds like a pretty sweet vacation and an end to it too. I just googled pics...damn. I want to go there.
