JJ Abrams & Jonathon Nolan's PERSON OF INTEREST on CBS

Could this actually cause me to watch my first CBS show since The Unit went off the air??

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gV1vPuVRyGg

It's like they're making an entire series out of the Lost season 4 plot thread between Ben and Sayid. Hell they've even got Michael Emerson

I'm not crazy about Jim Caviezel being the assassin guy, I've never really liked him, but Emerson, Abrams and Nolan will get me to watch this.

JJ seems to be pumping them out. Good or bad thing?

    Nolan is a great writer.

I loved the Unit but I am done with JJ after he butchered Star Trek.

******** awesome, just got done. Don't know who JC pissed off in Hollywood, but I'm glad to see him back on TV. He was fantastic in the Count of Monte Cristo.
    Michael Emerson is great.
Cool story and loved the way it's shot. Have the PVR set-up already to record all new episodes. A+

well I never really thought about it like that, but if there's anything to that, it might be because I know he's a pretty hardcore rightwinger.

it was one of the only new shows I was interesting in seeing and I thought it was just ok. It was good enough to see if it gets better, etc. My wife said "you can go around with this one without me". She didn't like it. Honestly, I think Jim Caviezel "got old" and he just doesn't do it for her anymore

Like I said, Ill give it more time but maybe not much more. I watch enough TV as it is.

This show was awesome. I just happened to watched the Pilot. I had NO IDEA it was JJ Abrams. Really liked the part that Weasel guy from Lost played. And Jesus is always good at kicking some ass.

I'm so addicted to Fringe it's not even funny. I'm almost done with Season 3 though, and my friday nights are usually reserved for things other than TV.

Wow I just watched the 2nd episode, seems like there is going to be a lot more to the show than just weekly hunts for people which is great...love the way the flashbacks work and look forward to hearing more about what happened to the founder. Who really is the person of interest?

Thing is, I don't remember Michael Emerson having that very distinct walk/limp like he's got an injury the first time he met JC's character. I guess I'd have to watch the pilot again to see what that's about.

He did passion of the christ and fell of the face of the earth. i was reading somewhere that notable actors who have portrayed jesus in movies have had a hard time after. I dont know the reasoning but nobody wants to give them roles after they do that.

    Michael Emerson plays Mr. Finch

Jim Caviezel plays Mr. Reese (first name is John)

Yeah you're right. I wonder what religion most of the major studio heads are, I'm betting not Christian, lol.

EDIT - just found this article from the LA Times' Joel Stein, interesting read - http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/...4676183.column

How much of it is satire? Anyway, probably off topic...just good to see JC back again, he's great in this role so far.

Just finished tonight's episode and man, I'm hooked. For me, this is easily a top 5 show and I don't really watch tagged much tv. The show has a good mix of action, drama, comedy (at times) and intrigue as I want to know more (the machine, character backgrounds, will the police chic catch them, etc.). And I do like these flashbacks ala Lost to find out how are characters became who they are now.

And I know it is a tv show and there are a few things here and there that in real life wouldn't happen, but I'm gluded the entire time.

Did you watch the Pilot episode? Some character backgrounds were shown in that.

I just watched the most recent episode on my DVR...I missed the first couple so maybe someone can explain this, because my friend could not:

Why can't the "machine" tell whether the "number" is a victim or a perpetrator? It seems like a pretty huge leap that this machine could find people connected to crimes, but can't tell you what the nature of their connections are.

Anyway, I thought it was decent and I'll probably go back and watch the first couple episodes.
