Hello World - Discovery Channel (with Dave)

https://press.discovery.com/us/dsc/p...s/hello-world/

Excerpts:

"SIX GRAMMY® WINNING/NOMINATED ARTISTS LEND THEIR VOICES AND MUSIC TO NEW DISCOVERY CHANNEL SERIES HELLO WORLD!"

"Episodes Include:
• Just about every animal needs water. Yet each creature’s search for it is unique. With “Save Me,” Matthews follows the stories of three very different species—rhinos, spadefoot toads, and manatees—as they search for the fresh water on which all life on Earth depends."

Any more info on this? My DVR is only showing Usher and Christina Aguilera's episodes tomorrow. And the extended search only shows those 2 episodes along with Steven Tyler's and Ellie Goulding's.

I'd like more info to. My DVR from DISH also shows Usher being Episode 1, Christina Aguilera being episode 2, Steven Tyler being episode 3, and Elllie Goulding being episode 4. From the looks of it, the Dave episode won't be on until at least July 17th or later.

According to the Discovery website, Dave's Episode (titled "Save Me"... So you know what that means for song selection) premieres 7/23

Thanks for the update. The promo I saw originally on TV said July 9th but I guess they changed it.

Yeah, it's kind of weird... last night's episodes show Ep1,2 and next week's are 5,6.

I watched the two last night and this program doesn't have a serious vibe at all. It was actually very well done. Seems like this is gonna be right in Dave's wheelhouse.

I'd rather watch the videos of Snoop narrating wild life videos. Dave's a tard when he tries his condescending environmental schtick.

Yeah, fuck the environment and endangered species. How dare one on of the biggest rock stars on the planet shed some light on something he's passionate about, and sings about.

love the basic lyrical message to the endangered species: "You might try saving yourself". not sure it really fits too well.

Nice video. I don't have cable so I didn't watch the show. Dave has a good voice for narration, he should do more children's books.

The beauty of music is that when put into different context a song can take on a whole new meaning. From the sounds of his "behind the scenes" interview, the goal of the special is to aim the light at the dangers and seriousness of endangering different species and our planet. "Save Me" has always come off as an obvious story about Jesus and his 40 days and nights in the desert, and the Devil's attempts to tempt him. However, it can also pertain to anyone really. A song about desperation and what would you do to be saved. In normal context it's clear to me that it's just the Devil tempting Jesus and asking him to save him to prove himself. But in this context it can be implied that maybe our world is in need of a little saving, and we as a people are kind of like the Devil in terms of seeing what's wrong with the world but always looking the other way for someone else to "save it". Maybe it's time we all work together and save it ourselves. Which is basically Jesus to the Devil at the end of the song, "you might try saving yourself". As in, its not always up to God or a higher power to do everything for you.

    I think it works perfectly.

Watched it and yeah I thought he did well, some of the decisions on where to play Save Me didn't work IMO. Rhino is on the verge of death and laying out in the sun about to turn into a carcas .. blast an energetic and rocking part of Save Me

I enjoyed it! The 30 minutes flew by quickly. It's apparently coming on again tonight at 12:30am central time. It's also showing this coming Tuesday at 9:30pm central, but this time on the Animal Planet channel.

People (with Reverb I think) have been selling them in the lots prior to shows, but my company actually manufactures the bottles so I'm going to see if there were any scrapped that had already been labeled or if the labeling was done by a 3rd party
