If you all will indulge a quick story: Unfortunately I ended up being one of those asshats that left before Last Stop. My girlfriend and I did a walking tour of C'Ville that day and then had pit tickets for the show, so it was a lot of standing and wear and tear on the body.
When Space Between started up my girlfriend looked at me in tears because she was in so much pain (her back was flaring due to a bulging disk she has) and said she needed to sit down. The set wasn't 'legendary' so I had no problem going with her out to the concourse area. We tried sitting down and listening as Grey St was playing, but one of the ushers came over and told us we couldn't sit on the floor and needed to get up.
All through the encore break she's trying her best to gut it out (while I'm saying lets just go). Her exact words were "I don't want us to leave and you be upset. What if they play Last Stop or Dreaming Tree." I assured her that the night was not leaning that way and it was okay to leave. I hear the opening notes of Ants Marching and I'm like 'See, Ants Marching. We've heard this a thousand times, lets get you to the car." She finally relents, and of course I find out later they played Last Stop.
.
Here's hoping it gets played in Camden this year. If not, at least I have a great Moby Dick story.
And to get back on topic with the thread, while in the pit I overheard the following conversation pre-show:
Guy A: So how many shows have you seen?
Guy B: About 40 or so all told, how bout you?
Guy A: Well this is my 6th show for this tour alone.
Guy B: *Silently nodding*
