also, i'm up trying to decide if i should bother getting health insurance for 2016. i have an extension until the 31st. i know i can still get it after jan 1st, but it wont take effect immediately. but its just seems like a waste of $150 every month. money is pretty tight right now so that money would come in handy for things much more useful. but i know if i dont get it and something happens i'm royally fucked. its only me though. no wife, no kids. only real debt is student loans.

Word. I count my blessings for having decent health coverage. The hoops people have to jump through is mind boggling this day and age.

    Off to Cancun!!! Byeeeeee!

Also, let's not go so far as to say All Along The Watchtower is basically DMB's song now.

No one but DaVE fans would even instinctually name him as one who covers it.

Any layman outside of the DMB fanbase knows it mostly as a Hendrix cover, then as a Dylan original, then as a DMB cover.

God no. The last thing we need is another version of YMDT. Your other selections look great, though.

Ugh, I know. 17 live releases of YMDT.

Bartender, Grey St, and Two Step. That's what needs more releases.

I think it's just Broken Things (of the songs that have actually been played live).

Last Stop has never been on a WH disc though.

So, I really put off getting a Warehouse membership and I finally joined in January of 2015. Can anyone tell me when they send out the membership package and which one I'll be getting (2015 or 2016)? Thanks.

i get what you're saying, but Dylan didn't play it a Farm Aid one year because he said its now Dave's song. DMB plays it in a way that make it an entirely different song, so their version of it basically is their song rather than a cover.

Agreed there too. Same with Hendrix's version.
Just goes to show the versatility of Dylan's poetry.

The outro is the reason I want it; there are lyrics, and they are fantastic. To me, it is the best version of the song.

We don't need another version of a lot of songs, but we are going to continue to get them whether we like it or not. This version of YMDT is outstanding. I wouldn't be mad about that disc at all.

there are a lot of good two steps from early 2008. the one from camden (6.4.08) might have one of the best solo sections, but dave fucked up the lyrics pretty bad. then the one from scranton (6.10.08) has a great intro about the floods from the previous day caused by the storms that rolled through scranton the night of the show. great solo as well. june 2008 two steps were just amazing all together.

It was certainly a great month for that song. I notice a lot of people always calling the one from Hershey the best, but I think a lot of people haven't heard 6/25/08. It's absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. They even extend the ending just a bit which makes the crowd go crazy. The one from Hershey is great, but I remember the flow felt a little fast in sections whereas 6/25 was flawless. If you've never heard it I highly suggest it.
