Nelly came out with Taylor Swift when she was here a few months ago. They did Hey Porche. He's sold out BIG time now. Still a dousche....I know him because my best friend valets at Hollywood Casino and he's always there, I've been up there bs'ing with my boy many times and Nelly comes around. Tries talking all cool, then NEVER tips my boy. He'll park his ride and said there's all $1000 plastic casings lying around empty...yet can't flip anyone at valet a $20 or something here and there?

EDIT, I know about the TSwift part as my sister went and told me I wasn't there!!!

    Haha

It's good. He says great management and better vision for the future. But the tornado really set them back. It took out a LOT of landscaping and some infrastructure. So now they're trying to cover the damage before efforting changes and new facelift and such. Still seems to be a lot better!

Really kicking myself for missing this show. I was torn because Mayer and DMB are my two favorites and Mayer was in KC the same night. Went with Mayer because it was the comeback tour and I've been a fan for a little bit longer (though this would have been my first DMB show). I really wish they would have just come to Bonner Springs. Cricket Wireless is a great venue, minus the complete lack of cell service. Oh well, thanks to the taper because it's always nice to listen to the shows that I can't go to!

This ear has been great to me so far, got to see them in Dallas for the beginning of the tour, and then STL for a mid tour show, and then I'll close with the Gorge to get a great three day weekend and to end the tour! This tour has been sick, it's upsetting that people are going who don't get into the music (mainly sitting and getting on the phone) I know not everyone is going be going balls to the walls, but when I went to the Gorge last year the crowd was soooo into it! It was awesome!

On a side note, in 2000 Bela and Flecks opened...Bela joined on a SICK version of Grey St. The other cool opener was 04, I believe, and OAR opened. Good shows! In 04 was the debut of Sugar Will, Joyride, Crazy Easy and Hello Again!
2000 was an all-around great tour B/C of Bela.

And that 2004 show was great.

Hey all, haven't posted in quite some time. . . just wanted to say:

This was my 10th show (Been going since 2002), as I only go to the shows here in the STL (I know, but kids kind of complicate going out of town for a concert).
I can't remember any of the shows being nearly as good as this one was. . . As soon as they went from Seek Up into Billies. . .I kind of got that feeling that we might be seeing something a little different that night. Took 10 shows, but I finally got to hear Halloween live. . . and I'm still smiling when I think about it, over a week later.
I was in the lawn, and it was very obvious that it wasn't nearly as packed this year as in years packed, room to breath basically. . .could have been from the storms that morning. . . I don't blame it on being in the middle of the week, since it seems like the shows have been during the week for quite some time now.
Anyhow, I always love seeing these guys. . .never gets old. As long as they keep coming back, I'll keep going. To the next 10 shows!

Maybe I'm just old school, but I can't stand Grey Street in it's current form. The ending is like a bunch of shrieking mice and I hate it. I miss the jazzy, old feel of GS. I just wish they'd slow it down a bit. It's really rushed, forced and unlistenable to me. If I could show the band how to play the song in the current lineup's form, I'd show them this and then ask for the 3rd verse back. You can hear Dave's guitar, it's slower and the end jam is jaw-dropping:

Hey All! I should have updated you guys last week, but Jeff Coffin is in town TONIGHT playing at the Gramophone with Jeff Coffin & the Mu'tet. ALSO Bela Fleck happens to be in town, and rumor has it their may be a little impromptu reunion at The Gramophone after the Mu'Tet is finished with their set. Cover is $15 - get there early it's going to be packed.
Local Jazz Fusion trio The People's Key is opening at 9! See you there!
