Re: Favorite beer of choice?

I'm more interested in the Regal Rye. I'm not a bourbon drinker so all of these bourbon variants are pretty lost on me. I've had a lot of BCBS and Rare previously and to me they just don't taste so much different that i need to go apeshit over Rare. Give me more Regal Rye and Coffee....

smaller bottles for Rare/Regal which means there should be more of it.
Larger bottles for regular/coffee/BW whic means likely less of those this year.

I've never had Rare so interested in trying it. Can't get enough Coffee and BW, so good! I'll try to hang onto my R&D Bramble bottles and likely try to trade. Why do I have to like beer so much? Ugh

To be clear on it....this isn't the same Rare. Rare 1.0 was Pappy barrels. This rare is Heaven Hill barrels. Of course I know very little about the difference in those bourbons.....

Twenty Tap had all of the Bourbon County stuff on tap on black friday last year. If they do the same, I might just say screw bottle hunting and just go drink them on tap and be done with it. Unless of course bottles are easier to come by this year....which i highly doubt. It's crazy how much beer has changed in the last 5 years. I remember Bramble Rye being fairly easy to get in 2011....now this shit is out of control

That's awesome. They did that here the first year we got BCBS but I didn't find out about it until after

However you are going to do everything you can do get as much Coffee as possible. You know this!

anyone who wants to participate in the Gorge bottle share, feel free to mail me your best stuff. I'll drive and deliver to wildhorse. if you are not going to Gorge at all, then you should definitely send a whale box with a head cut out of yourself. we'll include you in the pictures.

I was mostly serious really. The only whale-y beer on that list is the Sour in the Rye with Peaches...and that's been made twice now. All the others aren't too difficult to come by. But it's one of those situations where sometimes it's nice to unload a whale for several good quality beers. I think you could have gotten more, but I'd be happy with that loot as well....

I've got a couple bottles of Vanilla Rye left. The last time I drank one (new years eve) I ended up having the worst hangover with vomiting included. Every time I think of drinking the VR now I automatically get that sick feeling in my stomach. I keep thinking I should unload those bottles, but I just can't do it.....that offer listed above would be tempting, but I would have had a difficult time pulling the trigger. I just keep hoping that someday that beer will sound good to me again....
