Wow I absolutely love this release. Unfortatnly I can't find the blue cd. I'll probably buy another copy off of amazon soon.

Was a casual fan until I listened to Luther right around the time I was starting to play guitar. That was a game changer.

Last time I saw Tim play a solo show, I asked him to sign my Luther College booklet. He opened it up and signed right on the track listing. Awesome. Told him this album changed my life. He said, "yeah, me too, man."

    Don't feed the troll guys.

Luther College is perfect. Like, literally perfect. Would love to see them do a nicely mastered and pressed vinyl reissue of it. (Although, as Doby said, the original CD sounds pretty excellent in its own right.)

I am gonna put that on now as a matter of fact...

I was just listening to LT 23 again too and while it's got some obvious gems like Hold Me Down, Leave My Praying and Tangerine, the overlap songs from LC just don't sound as tight, and even a little sloppy in places by comparison.

I agree with the sentiment that everything just clicked perfectly on 2/6/96.

I listened to Luther again in its entirety last week after getting an urge to listen to that One Sweet World, and just let it play on from there. It's still phenomenal. They were both firing on all cylinders that particular night. The mix, song selection and performances are all absolutely amazing. Would LOVE owning this on vinyl so much. Still one of my favorite DMB related releases. Easily.

Have you heard at any point rumors of this being issued on vinyl? I know there have been rumors for RR95 and some others, on top of the studio albums, but I think this would be one I'd want above most others

The reason I like the Live Trax vinyl so much is the mastering is more open than the CDs especially on the early LTs, but if Luther College wasn't recorded to tape then given the year the multitracks and stereo master are probably 16/44.1 or 16/48. Considering the really nice CD mastering there isn't much reason for me to get excited about a vinyl release...but if it was recorded to tape and cut AAA then I'd love to pick it up.

I no longer have my inlay card, if anyone has one...does it list any info? Discogs usually is helpful but there's nothing there outside of a mix/engineer credit.

I haven't heard anything about RR95 or Luther College.

Sooo here is the tough question - which is your favourite CD??

    Blue Team vs Yellow Team

It is kind of like choosing your favourite child - Even though I love the Say Goodbye into Ants combo the Blue CD gets my vote!

Seriously though. I judge all acoustic performance releases to this show, and nothing truly compares. I challenge anyone reading this to compare a duo-acoustic performance release to this. Been looking since the first listen in '05 and honestly havent found it.
