Stupid things heard at a show 2017

Might as well kick this off.

Hoping for some gold this year since theres gotta be a decent % of people thinking they are seeing the full band.

Anything from anyone there last night?

Knew several people at the show last night. A lot of them posted pics to FB before the show saying "We're here and ready for DMB!" I'm thinking there was some disappointed fans last night.

Perfect example of 2 fans (especially fan #2) who prolly only know DMBs hits & thus why they're at the show . Happens at 1:00 & 1:05. If I'm sitting near these people on Saturday or Sunday, I will give them the stare of death:

This is very tame, IMO. I'm not sure I'd go to any concert ever if that bothered me.

I originally thought it was going to be DMB because it was a last minute thing for me, and that's what my wife told me. On the way over I was researching the venue and saw it was a Dave and Tim show. I was so much more excited then. Seen the band 3 times, but first D&T. Loved the show, fun set. Hope we got some tappers out there. Wicked double encore!

This is the first time I came back from the show and didn't hear anything stupid all night.

I mean I'm sure people were saying stupid shit all night but I heard absolutely nothing stupid from the people around me.

Not exactly sure. Think they may have left before LIOG. The rain started during granny I think.

I will never understand why people just shout obscenities or words with no context. What's the point? Just shouting "DAVVVVVVVEEEEE......... DAAAAAAAVE!" is equally stupid. Presumably he knows who he is. If you can't control your emotions and have to shout for a song, do it once or twice and then shut up. Decent banter should be allowed. Aside from that, generic cheering or gtfo

It's pissing annoying especially at D&T shows where they're more exposed to screaming nutters, Dave doesn't turn away from the crowd or have twelve other members of the band to share the load with, just Tim. I told a bunch of people to shut up at my shows, it ruins the concert otherwise!!!

"TIMM-EEEEEEEEEEEEE" x20+ followed by the reply
"COME ONNNNNNNNNNNNN" each time - these particular gentlemen were encouraged to quieten down

an annoying American lady behind me too, shouting something equally as inane

Overheard the lady behind me telling her friend what drew her to Dave originally was how he plays the guitar and sings....... wow really? What drew me in was his occasional use of the color gray in his wardrobe.

I sometimes think people like this wish they were at a football game, or just don't know how to behave outside of one.

The people screaming just want other people to hear them, regardless of the fact that other people think theyre an idiot or an asshole.

    This. All of this.

They just use alcohol as the excuse for why they behave that way but it's really just an arrogance and cry for attention. They think it's cute.

Everything I've read in this so far confirms why I have no desire to go to a Dave and Tim show in a large venue. Theatres and small venues is one thing but dealing with these assholes screaming the whole show isn't worth it. I'd rather watch the shows afterwards on youtube.

    me too. couldn't pay me.

i thought the Davidson NC experience was bad in '03 in their gym. too big, i was too far away, and people yapped the whole show.

i can imagine how terrible it would be in one of these huge amphitheaters with a bunch of drunks wondering where the band is.

no thank you. defeats the very purpose of D&T.

Yup I agree. I debated lawn for spac cause some of my friends are camping and don't understand why I won't go. Dave and Tim is not meant for huge amphitheaters and im not sure how it would even sound.
I have that Roseland show but it appears disc two won't work, I'll try and find a away to get it to you though.

Ughhh. Here's how my interaction went down somewhere around Grey Street-
Random dude: "So when's he gonna call the rest of the band out?"
    Me: "What?"
Guy: "Why hasn't the rest of the band come out?"
Me: "Ummm, you're at a Dave & Tim show. The rest of the band isn't here."
    Guy: "What? Why?"
Me: "They're not touring this year"
