    This shit is awesome.

Timothy is great. Walter's not bad but reminds me of 'bad-Shane'. He's just not a convincing actor here. Glad he's not in every episode.

Nice to see Ben again. Loved him in American Gothic w/ Gary Cole.

I love this show. Another solid episode. I love when Raylan appears out of nowhere in the "bad guys'" cars, etc; it's hilarious. Looks like we get to see Raylan's father next week. We knew it had to happen sometime or another.

I completely agree. The first 2 episodes were very strong.

Raylan could be a really good character, but they give his lines a bit of comedy, which leads to a less dark chracter. I know this is a terrible way of putting it, it's just kind of hard to describe.

they need to heavily stick to some kind of an overlooking arc for the series. whether it has to do with the miami mob or boyd crawler, i dont really care. i'm just tired of the hill billy of the week episodes. last weeks was good only because of alan ruck being awesome at life.

See, there is an overarching theme, its just being unspooled at a slower rate. Which Im fine with, because the standalone stories are so well written and entertaining that it more than holds my attention.

"I knew you were full of shit."

"Backyard looks nice though, dont it?"

    Fucking brilliant.

Didn't realize they were going to do standalone episodes. The first episode was promising if it was going to be a continuo story. The formula for the stand alones is already wearing thin for me. Gonna give it a couple more weeks but I don't see myself keeping up win this show in the long run (assumingit even gets a long run).

It looks as though the "story arc" will be beginning (or continuing, depending on how you look at it) next week with the release of Beau/Bo Crowder. Boyd is also back. The rumors going around were that the story becomes more focused starting at the 5th episode, and that seems to be holding true

The only reason I watched more than one episode is because Timothy Olyphant is hot, but hot enough to watch any more episodes.

If that's true, I may hold on a little longer. The first episode is really the only one I liked at all, as Boyd (and his surrounding story) is really the only thing about this show that has even remotely piqued my interest.

The premiere was essentially a finale and set the bar too high for the show, leading me to be disappointed with everything else they've done. The lack of continuity also irks me and the show has essentially turned into what someone in this thread so eloquently referred to as a "Hillbilly of the Week" showcase.

Now I'll give it more time especially if what you say is true and the story is going to become more centralized very soon. I basically want the Crowders to be like The Joker to Raylan's Batman. There needs to be a back and forth, cat and mouse game between the two that involves tremendous chaos along the way. Raylan also needs to lose someone or something to make me emotionally invested, preferably Ava. I could also do without his daddy issues and their relationship, but I understand that it's needed for character development.

As with any show, the first few episodes have to be charater builder and past history, which i think this show has done a great job at. I woud also agree, that the first two episodes have been the been, but the most recent with his father was not too bad. The episode with the informant and the escaped convict were reallly below par.

I do think that the release of Bo will make for some interesting story.

Either way, Tim plays this part perfectly, and i really love what he's done with this Raylan character.
