They've done a few different barrel aged versions. Apple brandy, rum, and Bourbon from what I recall trying. All are fantastic.

    Re: Favorite beer of choice?

Spent the long weekend visiting near Boone, North Carolina for a short vacation. Tried some new IPAs while in town!!

Fullsteam Brewery in Durham, NC - Rocket Science IPA
Appalachian Mountain Brewing Co. Boone, NC - visited the brewery and tried a majority of their beers
Cigar City Brewing co. Tampa, FL - Jay Alai. I saw they distributed up in NC so I grabbed some.

And my favorite of the trip and one of the best IPAs I've tried:
Catawba Brewing Co. Morganton, NC - HOPness Monster IPA

What was so cool to me was walking into the beer store and not having ever seen 3/4 beers in their cooler before. We are at a cool time where all these microbreweries are still local and regional. I'm new-ish into craft beer scene, since i've only been able to legally drink for 5 years. Learning as I go and enjoying it.

Grabbed some Stillwater Shoegaze and Troegs Nimble Giant this weekend.

Both solid beers. I think NG is a little over-rated though.

it's a really good beer.....I think I like KBS more though. The maple barrel really dries out CBS. I tend to prefer beers made with actual maple syrup vs. using the maple barrels. CBS is still really good though, and I'll drink it when it's available. For sure.

Using their product locator, I've found two places about 60 miles away that may have it. I'm gonna call and try to find a bourbon barrel one on my way to the coast for the 4th.

Not sure exactly when you trip was/is to NYC, but if you are in town today and tomorrow, OH and Interboro are both doing weekday releases. Hitting up Interboro tomorrow for their release.

Probably gone now but I would've bought this all up... I use it for sauces frequently enough.

Anyone have any of the Prairie beers? Theyre just starting to pop up around pittsburgh and everyone is going crazy for them.

Bomb! and Birthday bomb! seem to be the most sought after.

Bomb! is really good. Haven't had one in a year or two though....their stuff sits on shelves here. Pirate Bomb! is probably my favorite of their stouts....rum barrel aged Bomb!.

mostly no. usually a lot of stouts, saisons, sours....farmhouse ales. funky beers. They did one IPA that I thought was really quite fantastic..Phantasmagoria. They also do a lot of hopped funky beers like Funky Gold Mosaic/Galaxy/Amarillo....

    Nice, good shit!

Space Cake is very good, but I am particularly fond of Lizard King. Surprisingly it's readily available here. Might be inclined to go pick up a 4-pack myself this evening!

    I'm excited to try both!

Also grabbed a 2012 Smuttynose Really Old Brown Dog. It's awesome that Smutty drops big beers they've been aging.
