that actually might be doable... but bringing the pot, propane, finding the water at the venue... that sounds like a TON of work.

I can bring a pot and burner, but water will be tough

If the Woodlands had tailgating we could cook them then head out to park... certainly wont have time to cook them early on Saturday

I think a Southern belle is a beautiful young lady who has manners and carries herself very well who also is very polite. They also have a lot of class and a great southern drawl. That's just my opinion though. I could go on and on about it. It's the type of girl you want to marry, basically.

Oh yeah, they would never wear jorts and cowboy hats because that is trashy and not classy at all.

Yea. Those people don't exist anymore. Or they are nicely hidden. (good job south).... I have nothing against the south (secretly I have a lot against it) but I have just never met anyone like that.

Besides Jersey, in general when I am in the south, I see more fake tans, fake blonde hair, fake nails, and fake smiles in the South. It's part of the culture, or so it seems. Everything is as sickeningly sweet as the tea. In the North, I feel like natural beauty is more important. We don't tan too often (besides fucking jersey), we don't layer on the makeup (besides fucking jersey), more people are dying their blonde hair dark than the other way around if they dye at all.

I understand. It's not for everybody. I'm the same way about the North. It's awesome to visit, but no way in hell I would live there.

The fake shit you see is trailer trash and rednecks. You aren't seeing the real girls we have down here. I pretty much know this area inside and out and there are several different types of girls I could describe, but that would take way too long. The kind of girls you are describing are trashy and do not represent Souther belles. There is a fine line between Southern, red neck, and white trash. People from other areas of the country don't see it, but we do. It's hard to explain, but there is a huge difference between the three. Our trasy/redneck girls are equivalent to your Jersey trash

They exist, you just have to look a little harder.

But bottom line, everybody we describe in here are sterotypes. Everyone is different.

That drives me wild. I can't listen to that Yankee/Boston accent for too long. It just sounds so annoying after awhile.

New York and Boston are only two cities - and the majority of their population does not have those accents. For the most part, I don't think there's a "northern accent" - most states in the north have what I would call a lack of an accent.

But yes, you do have distinct ones in New York, Chicago, etc. But most younger people that went to school don't talk like Joe Pesci.

South siders have accents in Chicago. The rest of the city doesn't, imo.

Nah, it's not as backwards as everyone thinks. I recommend everyone to come down here at least once and give it a try.

I was talking more about that Brooklyn/Jersey accent that I hear a lot when I'm in New York. The Mass accent I'm speaking of is the "Pack tha cah in the yahd" accent where they don't pronounce their "R's"

The only girl I've met in my entire life that I felt like I could marry was a southern belle. Too bad once we got off our flight I never talked to her again.

No, I know what you were talking about.

But for the most part, people that live there don't talk like that. In New York, you really only get that in small pockets of Brooklyn or the Bronx with Italian-American families or people that trace their roots back to early New Yorkers, etc.

    Same goes for Boston.

I do agree with you in that I can't stand it on women. I feel like I'm talking to a cabbie with a beer belly. But then, I don't really like southern accents on women either. It can be cute, but usually it just makes me assume you're slow

    English accents on women though...

I don't like it women because it sounds like they are being aggressive and they can't say anything nice with that accent. It's annoying.

Just because we talk slow, doesn't mean we're slow

    The English accent is

    Both of us? Sounds fair

I won't speak for the rest of the north, because it's very much NOT like the north east. But yeah, New York City girls can really be cunty.

Sundresses are the greatest thing ever. The weather in the south this spring has been unpredictable to say the least (high 80's in march, low 30's at night last week) but it seems to finally be stabilizing. Just walking through campus on a sunny day in may....man oh man

I hate to admit it, but I assume men with Southern accents are dumb/simple too.
