Stand Up Comedy

Huge fan of stand up comedy.. my favorites currently are Bill Burr, Jeselnik, and Gary Gulman. Who do you think is the greatest of all time? of right now? Any up and comers I should check out?

Greatest of all time - Carlin/Eddie Murphy (cant choose)
Right now - Bill Burr

best all time for me is either Carlin or Hedberg

right now Louis C.K., Bill Burr, Brian Regan, Doug Stanhope stand out. plenty more i'm forgetting i'm sure

Jeselnik is awful. he's just tries to one-up himself on how offensive he can be. he is neither creative nor original. he's also a huge douche IRL

Louis CK is definitely my favorite current one, and I'd put him up there with my ATF's. Can't believe I forgot to list him. Brilliant.

Louis CK is amazing, love his show too, he's so much more than just comedy.

others im really enjoying right now

    doug stanhope
    john mulaney
    hannibal burres

seinfeld will always be my favorite. he's amazing. to be as funny as he is, for as long as he's been doing it, with basically no vulgarity is amazing.

That whole routine is simply one of the best ever. From that, to the drinking bit, to the bit about feeding his kids chocolate cake one morning.... sooo funny, and not one bit of it vulgar.

Louis CK still #1 for me. Carlin #1 all time.

The numerous date rapey stories I've read about Cosby over the past year has diminished him for me.

Also love gaffigan and Norm MacDonald. Its too bad that when I saw norm a couple years ago he was drunk out of his mind. It was the second show of a back to back, and he was basically just slurring his words onstage, and then abrupty left. Was still funny tho.

Hannibal Burress for one of the newer comedians on the rise up. Dude is hilarious.

Can't believe Demetri Martin hasn't been mentioned yet.

You know who really sucks? Christopher Titus. His material is about how today's generation sucks. Ugh. Thanks cranky old dad.
