Was able to pick up 4 packs of HT, Focal Banger, and Crusher in Hartford this past weekend

Very interested to see how Focal and Crusher live up to their reputations

Had some BoomSauce this weekend, it was really good. Would definitely recommend. Sort of reminded me of Captain's Daughter a little bit on the front end.

I really enjoy Boom Sauce. Seems to be an underrated beer, IMO.

Booked my August trip to VT. Excited to grab as much Heady as possible... Along with other various brewery stops along the way.

Someone sent me some Captains Daughter recently. Along with Boom Sauce, Dogs and Boats, and Hobbit Juice. Thought Dogs and Boats was clearly the best of the bunch. Captains Daughter and Hobbit Juice were just OK. Enjoyed Boom Sauce.

In New Hampshire for the Guilford shows and tried this MOAT Czech Style Pilsner from a local brewery last night. It was really good. Definitely will stop and buy some for the tailgates and/or to bring home .

How fresh was the Captain's? I've noticed with that beer, like many IPAs, the fresher the better, but especially so with Captain's.

Hmm. Sorry you were disappointed. Being so close to RI and within the distribution area, I can always get it pretty fresh, and the brewery is on the way to one of our favorite beach getaways so I can stop in for a growler. Nothing better than a fresh Captain's.

Tried Allagash James Bean last night. Seems like it'd be a winter beer, but it was perfect on a warm summer night.

I find captains daughter to drastically change in taste after a few weeks. 1-2 months old won't have the same taste as fresh, but it still should be good

Whole foods has 12pk of easy jack for $15. Bought a couple. I typically just go with all day because easy jack is usually about $10 for a 6pk

Good for you, man! There's a weight loss thread floating around Ants somewhere that has some helpful tips.

Amazing what not drinking can do. I'm getting married in exactly 80 days, I'm really going to try to cut my drinking to one night a week from here on out. Combine that with getting back into boxing and my already decent diet and I'm pumped to see how well I can do in the next 11+ weeks.

You don't really realize how many empty calories are in beer. Even a 12 oz. can of Bud Light is like 150 calories, throw back 4-5 of those and you've had an extra meal. And forget about IPAs, most of those are at the least 200 cals per 12 oz.

I've never tried Jai Alai. Grapefruit sculpin used to be my favorite until I tried all these trillium, Bissell, HF and TH juice bombs

Jai Alai is excellent. It shows up a bunch in NY, just over the boarder of CT. Definitely worth a grab if you get it around you, Jesse.

Currently drinking Jester King's Gotlandsdricka. https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/pr...86/?ba=mwilbur

I am convinced that Jester King has become Texas's best brewery (as far as quality). There are many good breweries here in Dallas and I definitely hesitate every time I see the $11-14 price range of a Jester King bomber but I have never regretted it. If you ever get the chance to go to the Austin area, do not miss out on going to JK.

Tried Puppy's Breath finally from the brewery yesterday. Very good Porter.

Picked up a sixer of Guayabera pale ale that was canned the day of and it's incredible. Also nabbed four packs of Gwar which they just canned this week and a Cuban espresso brown ale.

Also stopped at Tabanero for some robust cigars and an espresso. Yesterday was a damn good day
