worth getting the VIP parking ($25)? do they charge for regular parking?

As of recently they don't charge for parking. I personally have no issue waiting around to let everyone get out.. but that is also partly because I only have to go to Bennett Acres.

Speaking of that, anyone else camping?

Need some advice, guys... Taking the gf to her first show ever.. She's 5"4". I usually buy pit tickets, but do you guys think it'd be a problem for her to be there? Like would she be able to see well enough? Or should I try to shoot for something in the bottom of the pavilion? Any opinions/stories are welcomed.

it's free to park. but i did VIP last year and it was fantastic. going to be getting it again. the lot is paved and you are potentially infinitely closer to the exits afterwards. i got out of the lot 15 min compared to 1.5 hrs in the past.

Sounds like I'll get VIP parking then. Driving 4 hours to the show and the last thing I'm going to want to do is sit in traffic once I get there or leaving the show.

What is the best way to get pit tickets? Should I try to get them on the first public on sale date? I don't have a warehouse fan account. I have also heard of people getting them through ticketmaster the night before a show when they occasionally release extras. What is my best bet? And how do those ticket releases work with ticketbastard?

Can't go wrong with that lawn - acoustics are amazing.

Not to mention it's really easy to shove cans of beer under the fence from the parking lot for retrieval later on.

I love the lawn at Starlake, it's sometimes the people I don't, which is why I always go pit or pavilion now. But I guess you'll have that everywhere. I do like Starlake lawn significantly more than Blossom lawn.

I think i found it. Citi is 2nd and public is 7th. And there Warehouse (where 13yrs of seniority gets you nothing) starts today.

I'm not staying there, but grew up 5 mins from there. Be sure to hit up Bocktown Beer & Grill (if you're into that kinda thing, haha) which is 100 yards from your hotel.

Also, 2 of my favorite sub places are close: Uncle Sam's and Firehouse.

Airport/Robinson/North Fayette area is your best bet. Unless you want to look west into West Virginia.

My fiancee is 5'4 on a good day. We've been in the pit and the pavilion here. It's hit or miss, depending on who is in front of you. In the pit, it's easier to move around to find a viewing lane for her. Also, in the pit, there's a small stand in the back if it connected to the rail that'll give her a better view.

If you're in a hurry to get out, VIP is a good option. The other option is to make sure you get in the first lot along Rt 18. If you time it right, you can be at your car and on the highway like there's no concert going on at all.

Admittedly, Pit at Starlake was the BEST time I ever had. But, pray for a cooler day because there is ZERO air flow down there. It was such a hot, humid mess, although, totally worth it.
