Re: The Gorge 2012

im thinking about heading home on monday night this year. Ive stayed over monday and left on tuesday the last 3 years. By the time i get back to seattle, im pretty much done partying and id rather just go home instead of trying to give it one more night and waste money at a bar

Can't say I blame you there. I'm excited to spend some time in Seattle since I missed the last 2 years and this is Liz's first trip out there and we both have vacation through Wednesday, so we decided to take full advantage of the week off.

i wouldnt mind having a plan, and sticking to it. Sightseeing and such, but to just wait around to go drink is something i dont think ill be doing this year

That'll give you a good idea of all the best places to see. I would definitely recommend heading down to Pikes Place Market though. We caught a Mariners game the first year I was out there and enjoyed some drinks at the Pyramid Brewery across the street as well.

They're playing the Red Sox on Monday night, I think we might try and head over for that, you can score some pretty cheap tickets to Mariners games

I hope they have the floor set up as all GA again, it gets really congested down there when they have the folding chairs set up for reserved seating, not nearly enough room to jam out

I'm all for a GA pit area in the very front, but I want the majority of the lower area to be reserved seating.

Not everyone prefers an all-GA setup. Splitting the floor is the most fair way for all to get what they want.

I'm with you on this. In 2010 we were in the pit and had a great time. Not too crowded and you could manage to get out and in again. Last year we were in pit and once you were in, you were in. Security would not let you back in if you left the pit to go to the bathroom, get a drink, etc. So we ended up staying in the pit from the time they opened the doors until the end of the show. Worst pit experience of my life! 10 hours of no extra water, no bathroom and only what food we could bring in. I'm a diehard but I will never do that again!

I don't have the patience to deal with the pit. I'm getting old and like my seats.

That was me in 2010. I didn't go to any shows that year so I pretty much steered clear of Ants all together.

My post count has risen dramatically since this about the only site not blocked at work.
