I saw it a couple of times back in 2008. My observations were that it was a pretty forgettable couple of minutes, people around me didn't really seem to be into the song, and what people were paying attention were reveling in Dave wearing sunglasses during the song.

After listening to Alpine '09, I will say this: I'm glad they sped it up, it's pretty tolerable now. I would rather hear this over Can't Stop...they're essentially the same though.

Considering it was played E1 I would take my first Smooth Rider over my 10th Sister. Then hopefully never hear it again.

Probablm is, their still going to play shake me, seven, and jimi then their going to replace seek up with smooth rider.

I would take it over an e1 sister because smooth rider would be something different but In reality it wouldn't replace sister It would be more like this

I will say this, sister is probably a better song than smooth rider ( but who fucking cares it's like comparing shit to puke)

Yeah something different like the stone, BOWA, typical situation, granny ext. I wouldn't want smooth rider in that spot. Hahah.

One of the better moments I had a show was when they played
BOWA at 6/3/15 e1. I thought for shure it was going to be sister.

It's not the most horrible song or most cringe worthy song in their catalog, there are at least 12 songs I would like to see less than it. Ignoring the lyrics, I like it musically.

I've seen it 4 times, twice with guests (Warren Haynes and Reggie Watkins, Ian Gordon, and G Love), and it was alright. I thought it was a waste of a song for Warren to guest on though.
