That's tough. I think #41 might be the best opener I've seen, beautiful song and all the solos were like musician introductions. Crush might be my favorite mid-set song. Impossible not to dance to the second half of Crush.

Crush took the edge today, tomorrow my answer could be 41.

I've heard both about an equal number of times. 41, while great, sometimes drags for me. Crush has never ever dragged for me. Crush wins this easily.

When both are at their very best I'll go with #41 for sure. my favorite versions of #41 are probably the most played dmb songs on my ipod. both are top 10 for me. right now, as everyone else has said, crush is way better and it's not even close.

it's kind of sad, #41 limps along and to me is a shell of its former self. dave can't really sing it any more(or at least powerfully and effectively.) That's what kills it for me, dave's vocals. the jam is hit or miss but i find it generally pretty uninteresting recently. really dont like tim's guitar solos in there as frequently as they do them. every now and then is fine but it shouldn't happen more than it doesn't. usually the highlight of the jam for me now is during the outro if they can come up with one of those really nice and soft/pleasant endings with boyd's violin. those can be really nice and a highlight for me. it's too bad that one of the best things the band has ever done has turned into something so painfully average. outside of grey street, #41 is probably the song in my top 10 that has dropped off the most live.

maybe playing it acoustically could make #41 better again?

Crush is my favorite dmb song, so that. Both tunes are the absolute top tier of this band's catalog though.

Crush is also one of those rare songs that has this undeniable universal appeal to absolutely everyone. Tough thing to capture in a song, and I think it's a feat that sets it above other tunes for me...well and the chorus.

Currently with where the band is with in the live setting, its Crush hands down. Been one of the few consistent bright spots the last 2 tours.

Crush! I love it Dave solo, D&T, full band, covering it myself, you name it I love that song. The first time I ever saw Dave it was the beginning of the Crush music video at the bar which I've always thought was a cool way to first see the band that got me way more into music than I probably otherwise would have been.

Love both, love getting either at a show, but #41 is and always will be my favorite DMB song.'

I also absolutely love Tim on both these songs in their current incarnations. I know everyone hates Tim now, but I have always been a guitar guy and a rock guy and I love when he unleashes a serious face-melter.

41 studio though... It's just that Jeff will never capture what Roi did studio for that solo. It was perfect note for note.
