Antsmarching.org in 2002.

http://www.antsmarching.org/forum/ar...x.php/f-3.html

Crazy how similar what they were discussing then and what we discuss now.

How did people get onto this site originally? Did they move from another site or was this a group of offline friends who formed it? I never heard about this sites origins.

I've been posting on various sites since the late 90's or so, so I heard about it from other sites. But didn't start posting regularly until 4-5 years ago.

the mailing list was the ants back before 2002.

my favorite site from back in the day was typicalsituation.com. it used to have set lists and full show downloads. that folded around 2002ish.

Can somebody explaine to me what is the use of touring and playing the same songs???....and even tho i love x-mas song i dont consider that a change.. it was a givin that it would be played this tour.

nancies.org started to fade around 2002. I think a lot of people moved over from that. There were quite a few sites back in the day.

I was at the two previous shows to this post... yeah, there were a lot of repeats, but I was just glad I'd been able to attend multiple shows in a tour for the first time...

The day after getting back from Central Park I was searching online for info on how to get a recording of the show (had never heard of b&p or torrents at that time) and came across ants, that was the day I joined.

I started out on Nancies and I think the mailing list. Did they have the set list game there as well with the uber rare scoring? I came here in 2002. This is my 3rd account though becasue one was shared and I forgot the other login information.

I remember this! God, this was awful to look at visually

I also like how there is a "New Album" thread with this as the fan's proposed tracklist:

    "1. Sweet Up and Down
    2. Granny
    3.Get in Line
    4.*New Song*
    5.JTR
    6.Build You a House
    7.#40
    8.*New Song*
    9.Gravedigger
    10.*New Song*
    11. Spotlight
    12.Deed is Done
    (outro Loving Wings)"

I swear, some fans are STILL waiting for most of these songs to show on the next album...
