1) The Central Park Concert 09.24.03.. ..the whole show , just amazing.

2) Two Step in the rain at Giants Stadium 06.11.01

3) Madison Square Garden 12/03/98 ...fantastic gig with Bela opening and guesting on a few tunes...standout song for me Minarets.

And he's also seen 7.21.09, which I had to suffer through unfortunately. Only highlight was Dreaming Tree, and it wasn't even a good version. N2 was good though.

Are you forgetting the crowd singing Thank you during the encore break that added that song to the set that night? Call me crazy, but it was pretty cool to see them play it for the first time that tour, especially in the E1 spot.

Be careful. I got laughed at about a month ago for being disappointed about not hearing JTR during the rain storm in the encore at Bristow this past year. Some people on ants don't take kindly to environmental factors making an experience/song more enjoyable.

Probably wasn't clear enough. The Thank You chants were crazy that night from the year before so that was definitely a cool moment, but since they had no E1 song and they started playing Thank You, a lot of people thought that was it. To respond to the crowd the way they did, play Thank You, but then follow it up with Halloween out of nowhere was what made it that much more special.

i don't take any offense to it at all...

Hartford 2008 Bartender opening the show in a fucking thunderstorm...it's my favorite version ever musically, but everyone shits on that opinion because of the whole 8.19.08 one.

DC N1 2010 is probably one of my favorite concert experiences ever because of that thunderstorm...luckily I was able to sneak in under the cover...switched JTR from 2nd to opener due to the Rain Delay tour debut!

Sometimes the weather does bring out certain aspects of the band....and the crowd especially...and the band feeds off that energy.

I never heard an amphitheater sing a song louder than they did when they sang Sublime's "Santeria" directly before DMB took the stage at like 1030 PM (or something close) that night to open their show. and the band fed off that energy when the show started...was pretty cool experience.

Thunderstorms for about the first hour or so. Ants opener & GGT with lyrics about the rain. Pretty cool stuff!

Hearing the crowd sing Santeria at DC is always fun. They seem to have been doing it for what seems like 10 years straight.

Isn't this the show when Dave got all pissed off ? Yelling at some fan in the front ?

It was an ok at best show , disappointed in the bands performance . They were flat .

AC N1 they sounded awful , and not much better N2. I had a great time that weekend though .

Yep, that's the show. Dave made a comment about it and everyone started booing the fan.

Central Park. 100k people, great set. Just one of those things

Two step @ giants stadium in the rain. Thought there was a 50/50 chance everyone in the stadium was going to die at one point.

Hartford '12, first time they did Halloween ~> billies. I had been waiting 13 years for Halloween and went bat shit crazy when I realized that's what it was during the tease. Billies was just the icing on the top

Jazzfest in the monsoon was pretty cool last year as well

Re: Your top 3 moments at a DMB show..

    1. First time on the rail in Dallas last year, the curtain dropped, and the band was like, right freakin' in front of me, and everyone else, was mainly behind me
    2. Two Step opener at Busch, 2008
    3. Too Much (fake) > Halloween in Kansas City, 2009

    4. Honorable Mention. Granny opener in Maryland Heights 2006. It was just a good day, and it was the first time I had ever heard Granny. Love that tune.

Extremely underrated show. Especially for how shitty the sets in Sept had been leading up to that show.

    1) Getting Dave to play Shotgun at Camden '12 after bringing a poster and holding it up in the pit.

    2) In '09, looking at the history of songs played at Camden, realizing they've never played Halloween, wearing my orange Holland soccer shirt for N2 and getting it in the encore.

    3) Getting The Last Stop (my first) at Wrigley N2

Wasn't it already on the set? Great tune though.

I had pit tickets for N1 & N2 and held the poster up in between every song during N1. As Dave was introducing Mercy during N1, he pointed at me and said "I got you buddy. One of them days. Hope I get you for awhile, know what I'm saying?". It was on the set because of my poster (see avatar).
