Southwest did have great prices, I am flying round trip from Columbus for $240.

Switchbacks driving down the Northern CA coast. The road is very winding and there are parts where you're only driving 20 mph or less. Ants has been hating me the last couple of days. Quote fail. Quote from tbernsen05 talking about driving down the west coast didn't stick.

Jimi there last time was pretty awesome. Anyone remember the clown wig N3? Perfect too since all weekend he was joking about them putting on their clown suits during set break.

I'm glad he put that wig on that someone tossed on stage. A cool little moment I don't get to see too much from Dave. I also like how he was able to toss it right back to the person who flung it on stage.

After talking about clown suits, the wig on N3 was very cool. Also, the post-earthquake running around the hotel room like Ozzy story was hilarious. Great weekend of music/stories/fun. Cant wait to do it again.

Pumped for these shows. Been several years since I've seen the band but looking forward to shows 39 and 40!

I've been checking out a few set lists recently...looking pretty good. Can anyone comment on how shows/sets have been so far this tour? I'm somewhat out of the DMB loop these days...and embarrassed to admit I don't even know all the songs they play anymore!

Just wondering re: Pliny The Elder
Sounds like a must-try for IPA lovers (like me!).
Is there anywhere to buy it in the bay area other than the brewery itself?
Is it ALWAYS available at the brewery.

I wasn't really blown away by it, but it was pretty good. It seems to me that Imperial IPAs are usually so hopped up that the hops mask other flavors.

As an IPA lover, I think it probably is a must try just because. We get shipments of it up here from time to time, and if you're going to Gorge too, I'll keep my eyes open for it and let you know if I find you some. But you'll probably have better luck in the Bay Area. I imagine it's sold in certain bottle shops down there?

Beer Revolution will have it on tap, but it's not always available. If you're in to beer at all check out BR.

There are places other than the brewery to find it in the Bay Area. They don't always have it but you should be able to find it if you are industrious and willing to call around. It is always available at the brewery in Santa Rosa...it's about an hour drive with no traffic from Berkeley. There is no good public transportation option from Berkeley to SR (it will take about 3.5 hours)

I don't drink a lot but I didn't find anything overtly special about Pliny the Elder.

Now, if you wanted Pliny the Younger, forget it. Only available at the brewery itself and only once a year. And, you'll be standing in a LONG line. It is good though.

Heading to the Greek on Friday to see Slightly Stoopid...I love shows like this compared to DMB at the greek with the GA...no need to wait early in the day to get an awesome spot. I walk in around the start of the show and I have a great seat.

For me, this is the opening act teaser for the AWESOME show we're going to have in AUGUST!!!!!!!!!!!

I HIGHLY suggest EVERYONE rush to the front of the pit...don't worry about me... I guess I will just have to hangout on the first level platform (Ok its hands-down the best spot in the whole place)... So FLIPPIN pumped for another couple of days at the Greek! Was there the entire weekend last time, one of the best DMB experiences of my life...cant beat the Greek and DMB!

As with any GA venue, make friends with your neighbors. Offer to bring them back a beer/water if you're going and they will watch your spot.

Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of active NorCal ants so this thread doesn't get a lot of love. (same for the shoreline threads)

There is a few... But you're right. Overall pretty quiet. Good advice about not losing your spot. Exactly how to do it and most are fine helping.

By far, the best seats in the house for sound are the first few rows of the steep stone steps. I'd highly recommend getting there really early to snag one. With the warehouse ticketing getting early entrance, most of the seats directly behind the soundboard are taken.

I'd recommend looking 2 sections left or right of center. Sound is good and you can be in some of the lower levels.

The pit is the pit...you get to stand around and hang out...but you're standing.
