Agreed! The Island received zero love. Aside from the TF series, The Island was my favorite Bay movie.

"There was that quote saying that we’re making [the Ninja Turtles as] aliens. We're not," Bay clarifies. "It’s the ooze! It’s from the original source material. These are from the original writers, and I never went out to correct myself in the press. I do listen to the fans and I do want this to be authentic. I think they’re going to be really happy with this movie. When I see the digital stuff, the turtles look great"

Anyone but Megan Fox should have been cast as April. She has no endearing qualities at all. Even Splinter would call her a cunt.

Why wouldn't this be in cgi? Personally I think puppet turtles now would look like garbage.

For the late 80's/early 90's. I wouldn't rule out some sort of "puppet" for stills and such.

but how retarded is cgi turtles in those scenes going to look? ugh...

apparently they're captured and raph is loose to save the day... but just imagining that in cgi is disheartening...

I grew up worshipping those stupid turtles so they could use sock puppets for all I care. Glad to see that Raph is a focus (if this is true). Always was my favorite.

At least we get Bebop and Rocksteady. It won't be another Toka and Razar or what ever their names were. We couldn't even get Krang in any of the 3 movies form the early 90s.

I used to be on the whole "Megan Fox isn't that remarkable" bandwagon. But I've lately come to realize that she's actually quite hot. She's just not that great at acting, and Bay is exceptional at putting her in objectifying situations that make little to no sense in the context of the story.

Oh, I know. Let's have you provocatively straddle this thing. It doesn't need to make sense.

She went through a very Angelina Jolie-esque phase, but she grew out of it fast. Ever since she had her kid, she's looked amazing.

She's not great by any means, but I don't think she's necessarily a bad actress either.
